Liberal Torture Logic: Partial Birth Abortion(NO) vs Waterboarding Terrorists(YES)

By: Pam On: Nov/9/07 - 24 Comments

I bring this up because of Rosa Brooks’ LA Times column, “Torture: the new abortion.” (via NewsBusters)

Partial Birth Abortion

1. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby’s leg with forceps.

2. The baby’s leg is pulled out into the birth canal.

3. The abortionist delivers the baby’s entire body, except for the head.

4. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby’s skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.

5. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child’s brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse.

6. The dead baby is then removed.

The above procedure does not constitute torture by liberal standards

Waterboarding

1. Waterboarding is a technique that simulates drowning in a controlled environment.

2. It consists of immobilizing an individual on his or her back, with the head inclined downward, and pouring water over the face.

3. It does not maim, cause permanent physical damage,or result in death.

Waterboarding is torture by liberal standards

You tell me:

Still don’t get the point? Sen. Dodd: Khalid Sheik Mohammed has taken the moral high ground from the US

Compare that case [the Moussaoui trial] to the case of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, who organized the attacks of 9/11. He was held in a secret prison, where he claims he was tortured severely. Whether he is lying or not, by our actions we have allowed Khalid Mohammed to claim the moral high ground. Khalid Mohammed plays martyr to a world that is inclined to believe it.

Keep in mind that we give KSM three hots and a cot. He planned the attack on this country yet a liberal is outraged. Where is the outrage for the baby?

What a great comparison. I often wonder how the liberals can condemn the death penalty, forgetting the victims and focusing solely on the perpetrator, yet completely ignore the reality of abortion.

    Thanks for posting this one.

Frankly, I think many Liberals need to be waterboarded. It mat take such drastic action to shock them out of their fog of illogic.

    I’ve got to ask:

“If we changed the name from capital punishment to state funded post term abortion, would the liberals support it them?”

Perhaps we should change the name from waterboarding to aquatics enhanced inverted lung development exercises?

And can we try it on Rosie O’Donnell the next time she does her inversion therapy? BTW WHERE did she find a strong enough inversion therapy rack?

Harry’s fourth summer and the following year at Hogwarts are marked by the Quidditch World Cup and the Triwizard Tournament, in which student representatives from three different wizarding schools compete in a series of increasingly challenging contests.
However, Voldemort’s Death Eaters are gaining strength and even creating the Dark Mark giving evidence that the Dark Lord is ready to rise again. In the unsuspecting lives of the young wizard and witches at Hogwarts the competitors are selected by the goblet of fire, which this year makes a very surprising announcement:
Hogwarts will have two representatives in the tournament, including Harry Potter!
Will Harry be able to rise to the challenge for the Tri Wizard Tournament while keeping up with school or will the challenges along with Voldemort’s rebirth be too much for the young hero?
