On Obama: “This guy is so far off the Democratic party reservation I don’t know where he’s planting his primary flag, but it’s nowhere a progressive Democrat or our party should willingly go.”

Says Taylor Marsh at HuffPo:

It’s bad enough that Mr. Obama continues to use wingnut talking points on Social Security. My friend Dave Johnson said it well yesterday: Senator Obama, Please Stop Echoing Right-Wing Lies About Social Security! Paul Krugman asked nicely, Why, Barack, Why?, then took him out.

Why would he admit that Social Security is in trouble? or why would he stray off the plantation(reservation as they like to call it)? Which do you think has them frothing?

Blue Crab Boulevard provided excellant commentary to address this. I stole this picture from Gauis as well:

Michelle Malkin:

Unless you are Paul Tsongas, who ran for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1992 and died in 1997, you are not, not, not, not, not ever supposed to breathe a negative word about the looming entitlement crisis. Barack Obama apparently didn’t get the memo, and now he’s being barbecued by the far Left for suggesting something needs to be done to avert the collapse of Social Security. Doesn’t matter that his solution is means-testing. He spilled the beans on the problem in his Meet The Press appearance and that is a nutroots no-no

Macsmind:

Democrats must think the American people are stupid, it’s the only explaination for even the suggestion of raising taxes in an election year. Even more crazy when the last thing anyone wants to hear is how they’ll have even less money if a Democrat takes the president’s seat.

Note whenever you see tax cuts for the middle class it means “We gonna take your ass off”.

In my opinion Barack and all the other democrats think we’re stupid. Then again, maybe there are enough people out there who like higher taxes. Maryland is putting the finishing touches on nationally historical tax hikes and I took a look this weekend at the small local newspapers of the most liberal areas. Not a word of protest.

So, evidently if you are a democrat you don’t mind being poor or sent to the poorhouse.

This is unequivocable evidence to me that this whole country has gone topsy turvy. Are there any sane and rational people left? @-)

#2 BonBon most of us who post here are sane. That is, the Conservative posters.

Sounds like you are reaching your own conclusion; that is, Liberalism is a form of mental illness. That is the conclusion I reached in the mid 1980s.

You know pretty boy (aka the Breck girl) is looking kinda scruffy in that photo above. Maybe he needs another $1200 haircut?

You know there are two Americas…one that can afford to blow $1200 on a haircut, and the rest of us.

Oh I have to tell you Robert I have said to more than one liberal when they start talking about Edwards. I agree with them that yes there are two Americas and aside from that being an extraordinarily devisive campaign statement he makes it blatantly obvious which one HE lives in.

Yes, that’s why I don’t understand why Edwards feels his “Two Americas” theme is a good message; it just highlights how rich and elitist Edwards has become from suing others. Is any of that a good message for the masses? Sure doesn’t make any sense to me. Maybe that’s why his camapign has gone nowhere.

No doubt Edwards, like so many of the Ultra-Rich Democrites, has his fortune well protected behind a Trust. No doubt he has the best Accountants and Tax Lawyers to avoid every penny of tax he possibly can, even as he votes to raise taxes on others. He knows the estae taxes will fall on others; a family inheriting a small farm, a small business, etc. The hypocrite bastard, like Chapatraitor and other Ultra-hypocrites, know the estate taxes will never touch their fortune. The estate taxes will only serve to confiscate the inheritance of someone else, prevent some middle class people from every breaking through the glass ceiling to the next level.

I’ve been saying lately that one has to be rich in this country to be a democrat. Otherwise all these tax hike proposals make no sense. When you kick down and penalize the very people who are the ones bringing in tax revenues you are cutting your own throat.

Hey BonBon; how’s that new job in D.C. coming along? Are you keeping those politicians honest? (I know, that is impossible).:d

The liberals in Md will raise the taxes and the poor morons who vote for them will wonder why they lose their jobs. As more and more morons end up on welfare, the libs will have to raise taxes again to support the new poor. Even more people will end up unemployed and on welfare. Eventually, the downward spiral will result in every business that can get out of Maryland doing so. As the tax burden increases, the weight of it will crush the smaller businesses into bankruptcy and their owners will also join the ranks of the welfare recipients. Eventually there will be noone left to pay the taxes. There will be little to no production and the state will be the sole source of income in the state, welcome to the black hole that is liberalism/communism.

Here’s a question to ask every Democratic candidate that voted against the plan to set up privatized social security accounts. It’s in two parts.

“Why did you vote against privatized Social Security accounts?”
“If that is so, then why do you and all of your congressional/senatorial staffers have them versus the standard Social Security plan that the rest of us, thanks to your vote, are currently unable to opt out of?”
