The guy is an imbecile:
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., will keep the U.S. Senate in session over the Thanksgiving break because he wants to block President Bush from making any recess appointments.
Roll Call is reporting that Sen. Reid inserted a statement into the record Friday stating that he will “hold the Senate in a series of pro forma or nonvoting sessions” to prevent Bush from exercising his appointment power.
Reid said, “While an election year looms, significant progress can still be made on nominations. I am committed to making that progress if the President will meet me halfway.
“But that progress can’t be made if the President seeks controversial recess appointments and fails to make Democratic appointments to important commissions.
Michelle reminds us that The elevator is going down, down, down.
Why? To prevent President Bush from using his recess appointment power. Reid’s ability to pass the Democratic agenda has been dismal at best, so he’ll proceed to do what he does best: Throw a fit
My take…I’ve made myself very clear on this subject. Reid is a failure and by now he should realize that this administration looks upon him as piece of gum stuck to the bottom of their shoes. It took 12 years for the country to say enough to the Republicans, yet it didn’t even take 12 months for them to wise up on Harry and Nancy!
John seems to think that this is a gotcha moment and asks : Now who’s relevant? I’m guessing he thinks it’s Harry? HAHAHAHAHA
So what else will this turkey do to get his notority as bad as it is now?:-w
The majority of voters in Reid’s District now despise him and cannot wait for the next election to throw his ass out…
You got some proof from that statement, Robert?
In 2004, in his last Senate race, Harry Reid got 494,805 which was 61% of the vote.

You have something better than that regarding his popularity in his home state?
Sen. Harry Reid drops in Nevada poll
Hmmm, Try as I might, I can’t find where in the Constitution it requires the President to nominate anyone from the opposition party to ANY COMMISSION. Therefore, Harry Reid’s actions is once again in direct conflict with the Constitution and hence UNCONSTITUTIONAL. The President was elected to head up the Executive branch. Harry and Nancy were selected to sort of head the LEGISLATIVE branch. They have NO ability to dictate appointments. It’s called Separation of Powers. I know they’ve heard the phrase, I’ve heard them spout it. Too damn bad they don’t seem to know what it means.
The problem for FSOs in Iraq was not because of the volunteers. There aren’t supposed to be volunteers. It’s required of their jobs. They get paid alot and that is why.
Bush should have fired those FSOs who refused to honor their contract and replaced them with recess, statutory, or whatever other type of appointment works. Congress is going tosay they control those appointments because they are worried about their federal employee constituuents and term limits for them and themsleves.
Because Bush and Rice are cowards, FSOs were allowed to violate their contracts and not be fired; they will continue to violate their contracts because it was allowed once.b-(:-?#:-s
Pam thanks for digging up those links (#4). You see SFL (#3) Reid did win reelection overwhelmingly. But since then he has become such a turd many of those who voted for him are disgusted and cannot wait for the next election to dump him.
You see, I research these things in advance. I know before I post my opinion, or rhetoric, if it is true.
