Philadelphia Tells The Boys Scouts To Admit Gays Or They Get Tossed
This story is a continuation of this story from October. Unless the Boy Scouts admit homosexuals, the city will boot them from their $1.00/year building, citing a local 1982 “fair practices” law.
BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA et al. v. DALE , was a decision that held:
the Court is not guided by its view of whether the Boy Scouts’ teachings with respect to homosexual conduct are right or wrong; public or judicial disapproval of an organization’s expression does not justify the State’s effort to compel the organization to accept members in derogation of the organization’s expressive message. While the law may promote all sorts of conduct in place of harmful behavior, it may not interfere with speech for no better reason than promoting an approved message or discouraging a disfavored one, however enlightened either purpose may seem. Keep in mind that this particular branch serves roughly 64,000 kids, mostly from the inner city. Its programming is centered more on mentoring and after-school programs..

Philly had better drop this action or they’ll be the ones defeated. They have over 500 murders, but none of the PC cops it seems. You know when your city administration is overstaffed, they go after the Boy Scouts.

Maybe its time for some tarring and feathering for this no good lying sons of billygoats and maybe the city rsidents should consiter a recall election and toss every darn one of them out of city hall and out of the nation as well

What a travesty. The Boy Scouts and their families, as residents of the City, have every right to use city property because they are taxpayers. Why does the “right” of others to join groups who don’t want them always seem to be more important and take precedence over the rights of others? Why does the tenuous claim of someone else always seem to win in the courts over the onvious, natural rights of someone the Left doesn’t approve of?
Why does the smelly bum have the right to sit in a public library and stink, driving out everyone else, when the taxpayers who support that library don’t have the right to a smell-free environment there?
These judges have their heads up their asses and should all be thrown off the courts. Someone should pay several smelly bums to sit in the courtrooms of these judges. A bum that has crapped in his pants and urinated all over himself for about 5 days or so should do. Hey, these bums have the right, no? It’s a public place!!!
I have had it with these Liberal activist pukebag judges. And put the homos back in the closet, as far as I am concerned. They somehow need to destroy everything that doesn’t look like them. They can go to hell, imo.

Isn’t this the same Philadelphia that got sued because eleven Christians nearly got jailed for protesting against “Outfest?”

I think that to take out our aggression against Philadelphia is the wrong way to go. The real organization that is acting in an oppressive manner is the national office of the BSA. Earlier the local Philadelphia chapter made a compromise position on the issue. The leaders at the national BSA would have none of it, and pretty much forced the local chapter to get rid of its non-discrimination policy. That move was immoral.
Therefore, it is important that the BSA’s national office be held accountable.

7, SFL, don’t ever come here and tell us there is no Gay Agenda. You would be a liar.

Nomine Cervus the BSA has the SCOTUS on their side. They don’t accept gays and the SCOTUS said that is perfectly legal. The local chapter had no business trying to change policy.

The idiots in the Philadelphia city Gov’t are attempting to deny the Boy Scouts their rights to use public facilities. That is wrong, and the idiots should be thrown out of office, fired if they are bureaucrats, and held up to the ridicule they so richly deserve.

12- that is where the fight should lie..they also demanded that the BSA accept gays or else..the SCOUTUS ruled on that, and they aren’t taking gays..

Here’s a question for the astute liberals SFL and NC. If the liberal left is so intent on doing everything “For the children”, why are they so intent on exposing those same children to being potentially molested by homosexuals by trying to force an organization with a 90+ year history of providing character building services to those same children to accept homosexuals as leaders?
I hope the Boy Scouts remove their Jamboree from the Valley Forge national park as a result of this action. I wonder how well the city will enjoy losing millions in tourist dollars because a homosexual with an attitude decided to get pissy with the scouts.

The Boy Scouts Lost Their Lease, But Gays Still Can’t Join
Philadelphia’s city council tried to force the BSA to accept gays, or lose their $1.00/year lease on a building. The Supreme Court ruled that they are under no obligation to do so. Philidelphia decided to kick them out. At the end of the day,…
