Will Chavez Stay In Power Forever? Not Likely

By: Pam On: Nov/24/07 - 3 Comments

Based on this article, it appears that Chavez has motivated the people to vote, which will not work to his benefit:

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has lost his lead eight days before a referendum on ending his term limit, an independent pollster said on Saturday, in a swing in voter sentiment against the Cuba ally.

Forty-nine percent of likely voters oppose Chavez’s proposed raft of constitutional changes to expand his powers, compared with 39 percent in favor…..

……Leon said the number of Venezuelans who say they will not vote has shrunk from a majority of voters to around 40 percent — a change expected to boost the turnout of the opposition.

Although the people may approve of the way he is running things, they may not favor him retaining power until his death, which is how he wants to have it. This will be an interesting election, as I am sure the meglomaniac does not want to have to face a world that laughs at him when his own people turn against him.

This new polling data is bad news for Chavez. He certainly cannot afford to lose this referendum.

He needs to bring in consultants, bring in the pros to make sure he wins: The American Democrite Soros-Financed Party experts! They didn’t invent election fraud, but they sure have developed it to its full potential! With the Democrites as consultants, surely Chavez can add perhaps as much as 15 to 20 percent to his numbers!

And as unprincipled as the Democrites of today are, they would be quick to hire on to helping Chavez! It might somehow be spun to make Bush look bad!

    Hurricaine Hugo Watch

Venezuela is bracing for what could be the most catastrophic event in their future…Hurricaine Hugo…will the people give him the dictatorship he wants, or will they call for government reforms in a free and democratic society?
    The world is…
