Youths of undertermined ethnic extraction burn Paris for a second night

How did this start you ask?

Two boys aged 15 and 16 riding on a mini-motorcycle (prohibited on the road) hit a police car this afternoon in Villiers-le-Bel. The boys, who weren’t wearing helmets, were killed. Hundreds of enraged men and boys are tearing up the neighborhood.

Le Parisien reports that they burned down a Peugeot dealership, sacked a train station and shops, tore up a McDonald’s, stole the day’s receipts and attacked customers, smashed and burned cars, and are still going strong. A police commissioner who tried to talk to the mob was attacked with iron rods; his face and skull are fractured. A police station was burned down, seven policemen were injured.

So, just to clarify this, you read that correctly..2 idiots riding without helmets, struck a police car and died..so what is a peaceful Muslim youth to do? Riot!

ABFA reports that one night wasn’t enough for the youth..night two is under way

Idiots for riding their bike without helmets- yes. But as far as I saw on TV the police car was damaged at the front. So, unless the kids “struck” that car intentionelly coming from the front themselves, I would rather say that the police car hit the kids bike when it came from the side- not vice-versa!

If that is “reason” enough to start a riot is another question (I personally would, rip some asshole’s head off, if he tried to set fire to my car!!)…

What should be done is bring in the French Foreign Legion to do a sweep of the area. Their orders would be force surrender of the rioters or kill them, period.

They stole the bike too… so let’s see, they steal a bike, kill themselves, and the Muslims are outraged..

4, I heard a quote on Rush a couple of days ago about people who live on government handouts losing all gratitude and drifting to anger because they aren’t fulfilled with their lives. Maybe the French ought to rethink their free ride mentality and start with tough love.

4- “…and the Muslims are outraged..”

Why do you try to put a religious connection there?
You don’t try to claim a religious motivation if there are riots going on in Pakistan, Myanmar or LA South Central…

8- Yes probably, and so are the protesting people in Pakistan… and the protesters in Myanmar are Buddhists and the protesters in South Central probably Baptists…
    But what does that matter?!?

Apart from the excessive/destructive way of protesting- are only christians in a democracy allowed to demonstrate their dissatisfaction with something, or what?

Neither is the current incident in France! It is more than obvious to everyone that those are social problems related to a failed integration of a non-european culture in the french society…

=)) Hey Matthias, that’s the whole point of calling them YOUTH..they won’t call them what they are for fear of retaliation…=))

Here’s your update..Flambée de violence: “Youths” now shooting at police; “This is war. There is no mercy. We want at least two policemen dead.”

Some 80 police officers have been injured:

Rampaging youths rioted for a second night in Paris’ suburbs, firing at officers and ramming burning cars into buildings. At least 80 officers were injured, a senior police union official said Tuesday.

The overnight violence was more intense than during the three weeks of rioting in 2005, said the official, Patrice Ribeiro. He said “genuine urban guerrillas with conventional weapons and hunting weapons” were among the rioters.

On Monday night, youths were seen firing buckshot at police and reporters. About 30 of 82 injured officers were hit by buckshot, Ribeiro told The Associated Press. Rioters also hurled stones and Molotov cocktails at police, authorities said.

Police made six arrests, authorities said.

What is this? Did the writer commit a potential faux pas?

Youths, many of them Arab and black children of immigrants, again appeared to be lashing out at police and other targets seen to represent a French establishment they feel has left them behind.

“Police officers were targeted with hunting weapons; a certain number of them were wounded by lead shot,” said Interior Minister Michele Alliot-Marie. “This is totally unacceptable,” she said, adding there were six serious injuries, “people who notably were struck in the face and close to the eyes.”

The use of firearms added a dangerous new dimension to the rioting. Firearms are widespread in France, and police generally carry guns. Such weapons, though, were rarely used in the 2005 riots that spread to poor housing projects nationwide.

25- I used to think that you are just a little bit baiting with the usual anti-muslim stuff that is posted on this site (you know: stoning pictures, reports on Hamas and Iran, etc.)

There are peaceful protests, and then there are riots. In order to maintain a safe and civil society, riots must be quashed with as much force as possible, as quickly as possible. By doing so, overall safety and security will be insured. A violent force that meets only token resistance will rampage out of control, and those who started it, or those who might emulate those who started it, will feel no hesitancy about starting another or growing the current one endlessly. Likewise, a violent eruption that is put down with an extremely heavy handed response that targets those responsible while trying to avoid unnecessary casualties will not only prevent the eruption from getting too far our of control, but will also deter others from joining or starting similar violent riots in the future. Buckshot can be stopped by normal police body armor. High velocity frangible rounds may or may not be, but will definitely NOT exit the other side of the targeted individual and if not fatal will hurt like hell. Allow the protestors to protest as long as it doesn’t turn violent. Make them acutely aware that their right to protest ends the moment that it does turn violent and violence will be met with overwhelming firepower. Explain to the mullahs, that violent protests will not be tolerated and have them instruct their flock in what will be the results of their actions. Include in those results, the immediate ceasure of all family assets and the deportation of any non citizen to their country of origin. Once the “disaffected youth” realize that their actions will have consequences, they’ll stop. If not their parents will stop them.

Few things stop riots like riot police armed with shotguns, submachine guns and assault rifles and the authorization to use them. Just ask the Korean Jewelers in south central LA who were the only ones on their block to not have their stores looted. The very presence of a number of them armed with Uzis and handguns, resulted in the vastly numerically superior rioters and looters looking for somewhere else to steal and burn.

32, FAO, I was there. You should have seen “Former” South Korean Marines form up and take control. Only the terminally stupid gang bangers tried their crap in those neighborhoods.

The LA City Council and Police Commission completely hamstrung the police. If the lead rioters at Florence and Normandie were killed, there wouldn’t have been the riot.

Also, where did the rioters at Florence and Normandie come up with so many rocks? IT WAS PLANNED!
