I just finished reading this article and came to RV. Is this karma or something? :-?

Truly insightful. Democrats would rather try talking their way out of things. When all is said and done I believe the U.S. will neither be a powerful nor free country.

Having said that I have plenty of critism for the GOP but at least those candidates don’t deny the problems and understand foreign policy may sometimes mean using force.

Great minds think alike Bon Bon ;)

The problem that I see here is that many times in our past we have tried to pass off our obvious ignoring of a problem as talking our way through it…

    Agreed Pam :)

Are you referring to the Clinton administration? Actually I blame those 8 years on alot of things. He made it so easy for foreign countries to exploit us. To think there are people who want him back in office is amazing. Oh, oh wait, I meant his wife but you know what I thinking, “Two for the price of one.” >:p

In part, the Clinton years, but also the fact that for the better part of 40 years, we have never really addressed the ME beyond a photo op and handshake show…We have talked our way around the problem..

Sadly you are correct and ultimately it could be the end of America as we know it. Not now of course. By all accounts things won’t really start to change until the mid to late century.

The ME is a society made up of very smart people. They have sat back and watched as we have exploited their lands and let resentment fester. Now, rather than acknowledge
respect and join in a more global economy that could benefit all they seethe with hate. But America is not alone in this exploitation. We made some Arab countries very, very rich and that was with cooperation from them.

But a long time ago the west which includes Europe has not given enough recognition that these people are smart and forces to be reckoned with.

Let’s then make a Peace offering to the people of the M.E.! Let’s gather our most Liberal politicians, Hollywood idiots, and Eco Wackos and offer them as a sacrifice to atone for our past transgressions! They can use this offering for beheading, Al Jizzeera propaganda videos, establish Zoos all over the M.E. and fill them with our offering so the Arabs can go see what spineless degenerates and traitors look like, etc.

Whatever. Just trying to think out of the box here…:))

The biggest threat to this country is the lazy uneducated slobs who honestly believe that anything that they get from the government is free.
