NYT editor Bill Keller Doing Standup
He is actually quite funny:
“Third, we are agnostic as to where a story may lead; we do not go into a story with an agenda or a pre-conceived notion. We do not manipulate or hide facts to advance an agenda. We strive to preserve our independence from political and economic interests, including our own advertisers. We do not work in the service of a party, or an industry, or even a country. When there are competing views of a situation, we aim to reflect them as clearly and fairly as we can.“
That has to be comedy, right? Otherwise how would he explain Roger Cohen’s column in the NYT’s?
“[D]emocracy was alive and vital in Venezuela on Sunday in a way foreign to President Bush’s America.”
Thanks to Michelle for starting Thursday off on a laugh..

Earth to Keller! Earth to Keller! It is crap like this, “100 million Americans who’ll vote next year need a better idea than they’ve got of how the next president plans to deal with the world. Not the cartoon world, but the real world.â€, that you and cabal of partisan cretins live and breathe life to. Keller is in a cartoon world and hurts this country daily because of it.
