The candidate said he also would expand the all-volunteer military but “we will never send them to fight in a misguided war.” That nice, considering they get pinkslips for Christmas thanks to the Democrats!

    And exactly how does Obama intend to increase the size of an all volunteer force? The Dems look for every excuse to decrease military spending to fund welfare programs. Last I checked, the soldiers don’t work for free. Exactly how does Obama intend to pay the peace corps members? During the 60s and 70s it was an easy way to avoid the draft. Just be overseas until your eligibility ran out. Without a draft, offering poor paying jobs to work in horrible conditions in one crappy third world country with the possibility of being taken hostage and murdered by radical Islamists really isn’t that attractive. The man is stuck in the 70s. He seems really likable. Too bad we aren’t in a situation where likable is an acceptable term for the President. We need competent, and unfortunately the Dem field is completely void of competence. The Republican field is pretty thin on it, but there is at least some competent candidates there.
