Church Gunman ‘Hated Christians’

By: Pam On: Dec/10/07 - 20 Comments

This was what I was waiting to hear before posting anything on this:

The deadly shooting sprees at a megachurch and a missionary training school were believed to have been carried out by the same person”a 24-year-old suburban Denver man who “hated Christians,” a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation, identified the gunman as Matthew Murray, the son of a neurologist who is a prominent researcher on multiple sclerosis.

Five people”including a gunman”were killed, and five others wounded Sunday in the two eruptions of violence 12 hours and 65 miles apart.

The first attack took place at a youth missionary training center in the Denver suburb of Arvata; the other happened at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, where the gunman was shot and killed by a security guard.

The law enforcement official said Murray was believed to be the gunman in both attacks. Murray did not appear to have a criminal history but “hated Christians,” the official said. The official did not know Murray’s religion, if any.

I am not sure if his father’s research position could have played a role or not, but I am thinking it does or why mention it?!?! Needless to say, we Christians will not be planning a murderous revenge…

Note there isn’t call for gun control because of THIS gunman because he was doing what Liberals secretly want done, the wholesale murder of Christians and Jews.

I thought that as well PCD. In fact I’m reading David Limbaughs “Persecution” and I wasn’t even aware of half of what has been taking place in this country in the name of ’separation of church and state’. Apparently there are alot of people who would wish for nothing more than to take away the free speech and right to practice religion away from Christians in this country.

So when Pam posted this and you made your comment I agree with you. The gun control nuts have said nothing and all because it was hatred of religion.

That’s what liberalism is these days. Sad, very sad.

2, Mattias, when will you seriously look at yourself and stop being the village idiot?

4, BonBon, How is the book? Liberals like Tofu and SFL recognize that a strong faith in American family life is anethema to their “(lack of) values”, and must be denigrated if not destroyed.

    1,5- One proposal:
Record what you say on a tape or mp3 recorder, wait 5 minutes and then listen to the recording.

4- “The gun control nuts have said nothing”

I (=nut) could as well try to convince a brick to fly…

Besides, did the reliable “christian hatred” information source also give some comment on how the used gun was acquired?

The book is actually a very good read PCD. I had heard of alot of Christmas attacks but not all the others. Some have been won but some have not. It depends on the court and state. However, it does appear as though Christianity is being attacked in a major way in this country and I just don’t understand why.

“Tolerant” liberals are really not tolerant of practicing Christians and the evidence is all around for those that bother to notice.

10, Liberals aren’t tolerant. They are just tyrants without the power to enforce their whims and idiotcy.

Actually PCD they are working very hard in the judiciary to get just such power. It’s scary to say the least and of course there are politicians and organizations (ACLU) pushing these agendas.

Brett in #1. How on earth can you possible suggest this is only gossip?

    Back to the story:
From what I heard lately the (suspected) reason for the incident was that Murray was rejected to become a missionary or take part in some of their training…
Sounds like he was angry because the other children didn’t want to play with him.
