If Obama Doesn’t Win It’s Because We Are Racists

No, not his words, nor his campaigns, it was Chris Cuomo on GMA. I guess we are suppose to forget the fact that his Illinois record is abysmal!

In 1999, Barack Obama was faced with a difficult vote in the Illinois legislature — to support a bill that would let some juveniles be tried as adults, a position that risked drawing fire from African-Americans, or to oppose it, possibly undermining his image as a tough-on-crime moderate.

In the end, Mr. Obama chose neither to vote for nor against the bill. He voted “present,” effectively sidestepping the issue, an option he invoked nearly 130 times as a state senator.

Sometimes the “present’ votes were in line with instructions from Democratic leaders or because he objected to provisions in bills that he might otherwise support. At other times, Mr. Obama voted present on questions that had overwhelming bipartisan support. In at least a few cases, the issue was politically sensitive.

Can we afford another leader that doesn’t want to make a tough decision? I think Bill Clinton taught us that we can not afford to allow polls and public opinion run the country. We need a leader that will face the tough challenges. Race is not a factor in my opposing Barak Obama as a POTUS.

Justin has the transcript:

“What do you think the bigger obstacle is for you in becoming president, the Clinton campaign machine or America’s inherent racists, racism?”

Voting “present” has been a legislative tactic since the very begining.

Everyone on BOTH SIDES does it.

This is pretty weak, as far as smear material goes.

1, SFL, you have a low threshold for a smear when it is your guy, but when you want to smear people not your guy, anything goes hypocrite.

Hey I totally accept that smearing is part of politics.

Effectivness of said smear, however, is a whole other issue.

This one, and his kindergarten papers rank really low on that scale…

    But, that’s just my opinion…

I never meant it as smear. The fact is that the man has no record except “present”. That may work in Illinois, but not on the national stage.

Obama is clearly a black man who stands on that pulpit and preaches about being black but as a latino I could care less. As we Latinos see it blacks stick together at work and at play. He would be no good to us. We latinos trust whites more than we would trust a black that has no related job expierance other than just being a good speaker or should i say a person that will tell you what you want to hear.

why is everybody worried about the black vote when it us the latinos that clearly will not vote for a blackman but since we are one of tha largest minorities will determine the outcome of this and future elections

Obama knows nothing about diplomacy just look at the way he spoke about former president Clinton. If he does this now what is to expected of him if he where to be elected.

I coudnt agree with you more. We need to wake up and stop being PC just because the man is black and a good speaker does not merit him being elected. What has done, what kind of real track record does he have and I am not asking about his good intentions for this country because if I was I could be elected on my good intentions
