Blog Posts: Must Read Friday
I wanted to give you a list of some very interesting posts that I have read today. I’ll post excerpts, but please take the time to follow the links. If I missed one that you liked, link to it in the comments:
Bryan: The Pentagon’s Muslim tug-of-war:
The fact that our agencies are so inept that they keep finding themselves linked to groups like the ISNA, and the fact that there seem to be apologists for those groups who also advocate taking a soft line on extremism within the agencies while purging those who advocate knowing more about these groups, all point to a dark fact: We’re screwed. If we can’t even take the most cursory look at Islamic doctrine or what Islamic groups that operate here in the US do with the millions of dollars they raise here every year, we can’t understand who is and isn’t an enemy and we therefore can’t win the war.
Drivers Licenses Denied To Illegals In Michigan “LauraW:
Oh, boo-frickin’-hoo, Mary. All law enforcement actions and the public policies supporting them drive undesirable behavior ‘underground.’ That’s kind of what we want, isn’t it?
Mike Cox opinion stands unless a court overturns it. I dare say that Mike Cox on fire.
Ahem.
Ed Morrissey: Ask Me No Questions ..
As the Iowa caucuses approach, the time has come for risk-taking for those who trail, and risk avoidance for those who lead. Hillary Clinton has decided to take the latter approach, even though she has dropped into a dead heat in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Peter Nicholas reports that Hillary has stopped taking questions at campaign appearances
Peggy Noonan looks at all the candidates currently scurrying around in Iowa scratching for votes and judges them on her personal standard for this election: Is the candidate ‘reasonable?’ As in a reasonable person. Her judgments might not really surprise you. Then again, they might.

Here’s a chance to nominate your “Worst Democrat of the Year”.
December 28, 2007 - 02:30 PM on December 28th, 2007
IMO it is a hard choice, since there are so many “bad” Democrites. So then it is a process of elimination, going by bad trait.
I think the worst overall is John “In Cold Blood” Murtha. This corrupt piece of shit (unindicted Abscam co-conspirator) was a huge fat hog at the pork trough. That’s bad enough. But he is also a traitor, a traitor to his fellow Vets, to the Marine Corps, and to the United States. He accused Marines of killing Iraqi civilians in cold blood, before the investigation was even complete. This provided great propaganda value for the enemy and for the Democrites. Since then all charges have been dropped and those Marines have been exonerated. Does Murtha stand up and apologize, take back what he said, admit he was wrong? Hell no, he won’t even acknowledge the issue.
So he’s my nominee for worst Democrite of the year, a massive pos.

Robert,
Follow the link and post it. That would make 2 votes for Murtha and put him in the lead.

I would like to suggest the next target for a terrorist attack. My suggestion is the Democratic Convention. While the loss of life would be sad, the loss of corrupt politicians and their sycophants would certainly dull the pain. If the Democratic Convention is too large of a target, might I suggest the Democratic Congressional Caucus? It would be much smaller, easier to recon (they have weekly luncheons on the US taxpayer of course) and would benefit both the Terrorists by making them look effective and also the US people by removing a large number of the traitors, thieves and liars from our legislative body. Of course it would also remove the largest obstacle to our actually winning this war as quickly as possible. Which is probably why the terrorists would never do it. They wouldn’t want to blow up their allies.
