UPDATED:kos says Let’s have some fun in Michigan ….Michigan Democrats Should Vote ‘Uncommitted’ In The Primary

UPDATE (10:13 PM): Via Pirate’s Cove comes this gem from kos himself…a columnist for Newsweek Magazine(kos: “I still think it’s funny the wingnutosphere thought one of their lame bloggers would get offered the gig” ):

With a history of meddling in our primaries, why don’t we try and return the favor. Next Tuesday, January 15th, Michigan will hold its primary. Michigan Democrats should vote for Mitt Romney, because if Mitt wins, Democrats win. How so?

For Michigan Democrats, the Democratic primary is meaningless since the DNC stripped the state of all its delegates (at least temporarily) for violating party rules. Hillary Clinton is alone on the ballot.

But on the GOP side, this primary will be fiercely contested. John McCain is currently enjoying the afterglow of media love since his New Hamsphire victory, while Iowa winner Mike Huckabee is poised to do well in South Carolina.

Meanwhile, poor Mitt Romney, who’s suffered back-to-back losses in the last week, desperately needs to win Michigan in order to keep his campaign afloat. Bottom line, if Romney loses Michigan, he’s out. If he wins, he stays in.

And we want Romney in, because the more Republican candidates we have fighting it out, trashing each other with negative ads and spending tons of money, the better it is for us. We want Mitt to stay in the race, and to do that, we need him to win in Michigan.

————————————————————————————————————————
Send a message to the DNC that your voice will not be silenced:

If “uncommitted” draws at least 15 percent of the vote in a congressional district, delegates not bound to any candidate could be sent to the national convention, possibly enabling Obama and Edwards supporters to play a role in the nomination.

“You can’t afford not to vote in Michigan,” Levin said. “It’s critically important to vote to have impact on the delegates going to (the national party convention).”

Michigan campaign teams for Obama and Edwards are actively urging their supporters to vote “uncommitted,” Brewer said. Brewer is officially neutral in the presidential race, but he’s long been a friend of labor, which generally has been supportive of Edwards in Michigan. Nationally, labor endorsements have been split.

Levin has endorsed no one in the race.

A newly formed group called Detroiters for Uncommitted Voters has launched a phone and door-to-door campaign to get people backing the missing candidates to vote “uncommitted.” A rally is planned at 5 p.m. today at the St. Regis Hotel in Detroit.

Clinton could be embarrassed by a large percentage of uncommitted votes, experts say, because any vote that is not for her is against her.

I thinks it is outrageous that the Democrats sued in Florida in 2000 because of “disenfranchised” voters, yet they can turn around and screw their own party in 2008. I don’t support the party, but I have many friends that are Democrats, and they deserve a ‘choice’ in this election. Here is one choice..vote uncommitted on your ballot. Some will cross over to vote in the Republican primary..have at it, just don’t bitch about how you were screwed.

    13. We all know that Michigan dems are uncommitted. If they were committed, there wouldn’t be enough of them left out of the hospital to be able to elect the morons currently running that state into the ground.

    19. Here’s a question. Why is every primary do or die for everyone but McCain (who has finished fourth in Iowa and first in NH) or Huckabee (who finished first in Iowa, but was barely a blip in NH)? Mitt Romney has more delegates than EITHER of them, Fred Thompson isn’t very far behind McCain and has an infinitely better record on policies than either one. Rudy Giulani didn’t even campaign in either of those two states because he knew that they were controlled by Evangelicals in Iowa and indy nutjobs in NH. Once the primaries get out of states where the Evangelicals and independents can control who wins, let’s see how things shake out. I can’t see Huckabee or McCain attracting very many Conservative voters, they don’t have the records for it.

Believe it or not there really are more important issues in this country than abortion, and those who would vote on that issue alone, are stupid. While I personally would not want to vote for an anti gun candidate (history shows that once a population is disarmed, anarchy, tyranny or both soon follow) I would vote for Romney if it were a choice between him and any of the Dems.

    20. I think the answer to your question is the MSM has taken it upon themselves to anoint and direct who voters are supposed to believe are the frontrunners and who they should vote for.

The facts you state are accurate, and thinking voters understand and realize the situation. The MSM is thinking Republican/Conservative voters are as dumb as Democrap voters and can easily be manipulated. I hope the MSM is shown to be as wrong (and embarassed) as the pollsters were in Iowa and NH.
