They want to "work with" Bush? Does that mean anything like their definition of "Bipartisanship"? :))

Here's a novel approach to stimulate the economy.

Cut taxes to people who are productive

Cut spending to programs that aren't productive

Allow the oil companies to explore for oil in Anwar and other US territories (Oil jobs are good jobs) without Eco freak interference. That's a LOT of high paying construction, plant operation and plant security jobs.

Allow oil companies to build refineries (again Oil jobs are good jobs)without Eco freak interference. That's a LOT of high paying construction, plant operation and plant security jobs.

Raise tariffs on products from countries with lower wages or government subsidies for their corporations (If they have lower wages than ours, or government subsidies, their population isn't buying much from us but food anyway.)That's how we ended up with a trade deficit to start with Do we really NEED toys from China or clothing from Indonesia? I would guess that the workers who used to work in the US toy and textile factories might appreciate if we leveled the playing field.

Stop outsourcing our weapons production to overseas companies? Our "light" machine gun is now made in Belgium. The Dept of the Air Force is looking at giving a multi billion dollar contract for in air refueling tankers to a FRENCH company versus Boeing. Political pressure forced the DoD to stop the trials for a 45 caliber replacement for the 9 mm and forced the Army to order 100,000 more of the M9 Berettas, DESPITE the fact that the soldiers in the field are complaining that the 9mm round isn't effective against determined combatants. Not to mention the fact that the Beretta got the initial contract because of political pressure despite having a fatal flaw that was waived while the Smith and Wesson entry was refused a waiver for a minor flaw. Which is more dangerous? A slide that can break in half during firing, sending 4 ounces of steel flying straight back at the operator at high speed, or a plastic grip than can crack when dropped at subzero temperatures? The Beretta was given a waiver for the slide, while the Smith and Wesson was denied a waiver for the cracked grip. How about we stop buying foreign made military weapons and give the business to US companies? I'm sure Colt, Smith and Wesson, Ruger and others would love the business. Oh Wait, the Dems are trying to put those companies out of business.

Allow companies to build nuclear power plants without Eco freak interference. That's a LOT of high paying construction, plant operation and plant security jobs.

Build the fence along the southern border. That's a lot of high paying construction jobs.

Enforce the laws against hiring illegal aliens. We've had a mass exodus of them from AZ since we made it clear that we were going to start going after the employers. A recent study by a Harvard researcher shows that illegal aliens have cost this STATE over 1 billion dollars in wages and depressed the wages of unskilled workers by over another billion. A recent LA county study found that LA county spends a billion a year providing services to illegal aliens. Now can anyone explain exactly how they REALLY benefit us?

Notice something about my stimulus package? Other than building the border fence and enforcing the law(which should've already been done), not a dime in taxpayer money would be spent doing it. In fact government spending would be cut (a drain on any economy, see the failure of communism or the Carter administration for examples) while the resulting jobs would result in increased tax REVENUES. Voila' a booming economy and potentially a balanced budget.
