Aside From The Election, What Is Our Government Up To?

I am challenging each of you to try and find any coverage of the Senate and Congress. I realize that the election coverage is important, but we are paying a Senate and Congress to operate. What are they up to?

    1. Yeah…the stimulus plan…what a horrible mistake.

Since when have the Republicans endorsed Democrat policies?

    2. The only stimulus should be cut taxes on those working, producing goods or providing services. Also, make the cuts PERMANENT!!!!

You do know the stimulus package includes “tax refunds” for those who do not pay taxes, right?

Now, can I hear what that’s called? Anyone?

    8. 5, Ted, I know that. Democrats want to buy votes with taxpayer money. They just aren’t honest enough to admit it.

    9. 6.

LMAO…You say that as if the Republicans are any different…

    11. So vote for HilLiary so it gets so bad the people wake up. Uh huh.
I can’t go with that. When she gets in, the damage she will do will be very difficult, if it is even possible, to fix.

    14. That’s putting it mildly Robert. I’m seriously wondering if the Democrats are looking to cause another revolution. The are looking to raise tax rates at a time when they need to lower them. They can’t argue that the government needs more money because history shows that lowering rates INCREASES money to the government, not the other way around. If they got a clue and knocked off the class warfare rhetoric, they could actually fund their social programs AND make the people paying for it happy too. That shows just how stupid they really are. They could have their cake and eat it too, if they weren’t being so damn determined to turn this into a socialist country.

    21. #14 FAO very true. I’ll even go so far as to say much of the economic strife right now is the result of Gov’t policy:

      1. The basic underpinning of our economy is energy. The Gov’t has failed miserably in that area for 36+ years and continues to do so.
      2. Taxation. While even the former Communist countries of Eastern Europe have figured it out and are lowering taxes (and stimulating growth) we continue to stick with a proven failed system and drive companies offshore.
      3. Environmental and other regulations: Yes we all want clean air and water. But American business is so mired in multiple layers of stupid regulations that accomplish nothing and just cost that we are becoming ever less competetive in the Global market. I have seen it firsthand and could tell you all about it. Trust me.

      And so on…

I can’t go with that. When she gets in, the damage she will do will be very difficult, if it is even possible, to fix.”

Of course you can’t go for that. You are part of the “My side is right no matter what the cost are” mentality that is killing this country.

I know this offends you, and it isn’t meant that way. I am just stating fact. But you will vote for whatever Republican that comes out on top, and it doesn’t matter who it may be.

What you fail to see is that voting for the status quo in the long term (which is any person that may win the primaries at this point) will only have the same effects as voting for Hillary. Every candidate on the ballot will only serve to kill America eventually.

      They are all evil bastards.

    25. “I know this offends you, and it isn’t meant that way. I am just stating fact. But you will vote for whatever Republican that comes out on top, and it doesn’t matter who it may be. ”

No. I will likely vote for Romney if he is the candidate. I’d vote for Giuliani over Hilliary.

Any of the others? No, I’d probably not vote.

I would never, ever, EVER vote for HilLiary. For any reason.

Since they are all evil, I assume you do not vote? You won’t be voting?

    26. “Since they are all evil, I assume you do not vote? You won’t be voting?”

That is my first inclination, yes. However, if I do vote, it will be for sHillary. I think of all the candiates, she can inflict the most pain to American citizens in one term of presidency than any of the others.

    28. The Vietnam approach? You think it’s necessary to destroy America in order to save it?

With Hitlary and the Democriminals in charge, it would be on a fast track to “Amerika”.

    29. “The Vietnam approach? You think it’s necessary to destroy America in order to save it?

With Hitlary and the Democriminals in charge, it would be on a fast track to “Amerika”.”

LMAO…You speak as if the Republicans aren’t doing the same. They are, just taking longer to do so.

Four years of sHilary won’t destroy America, however it will inflict a lot of pain. It’s like this: if you break your leg and it is set wrong, you will end up with a bad leg. So you have to rebreak it in order for it to heal properly. There is a lot of pain involed, but in the long term it is for the better. America needs to feel the pain of a Clinton Presidency right now.

Your party is broken Robert. It neeeds reset. There isn’t a real conservative among them. They all have fatal flaws.

    30. 29- Except that with that broken bone, if it goes on for 4 years as such, in addition to muscle damage and the re-breaking of it is a long shot at correcting the limp that may have developed, or the stunted bone growth..

    32. 30,

I’ll take that chance over the long drawn out infection and gange green the Republicans are offering at the moment.

With 4 years of sHilary, the pain will be so overwelming that America will want nothing more than the sweet releif of having the leg rebroken and reset properly. Perhaps they will even be able to walk upright without a limp and proudly again.
