McCain New Frontrunner? 20% of GOP Votes Cast By Non-Republicans

By: Pam On: Jan/30/08 - 20 Comments

Rudy is throwing his support to McCain. The media darling is now considereded to be the frontrunner, but in looking at how he won Florida, it wasn’t the Republican base that got him the win..As I said last night, Florida didn’t count for the Democrats, therefore the voters had nothing to lose by switching over to the Republican ballot.

Can someone please get the national talk show hosts and columnists to comment on McCain hiring an open borders, former member of Vicente Fox’s cabinet to be his Hispanic outreach director. Can someone please explain to the senator that only US CITIZENS are allowed to vote AND that the hoopla last year wasn’t just that we want the borders secured BEFORE giving millions of lawbreakers amnesty, it was because we want the border secured and the lawbreakers found, and made to pay for their crimes. Being made to pay a small fine and taxes for 3 of the last 5 years, before being handed permanent residency is NOT being made to pay for their crimes. NO Amnesty for illegal aliens, especially ones with gang or criminal histories. I’m all for increasing the number of work permits we allot to Mexico, but not allowing them to come here without regard for our laws, nor skip back across the borders whenever the break them. Want to really cut down on the criminal impact of illegal aliens? Make being in this country illegally an aggravating condition like using a weapon during a crime. Tack an additional 3-5 years onto the sentence BEFORE parole is even considered, and the crimes committed by illegal aliens will automatically go down. Why? Because those who are here committing other crimes will find themselves locked up indefinitely instead of back in Mexico in 18 months and back in the US a day later. They caught 3 convicted child molesters seaking back across the border inside of 2 days last month. Maybe if they had spent 10 – 15 years behind bars instead of 12 – 18 months, they wouldn’t be sneaking back across the border.

I wondered whether McCain benefitted in Florida from Democrite votes. But that doesn’t explain HilLiary’s big win. Who’s voters would vote for McCain and not for their candidate? I doubt O’bama’s voters would, especially since he is in a huge battle with Hitlary.

And if Billary’s voters crossed over, then how did she still beat Obama by such a wide margin?

5,6, remember the fix is in for the FL delegates. Hillary and the DNC took care of that when they sanctioned FL for moving up their primary. They are publicly uncommitted, but their super delegates are in Hillary’s testicle lockbox.

PCD- the superdelegates do not count for Michigan or Florida..at this point..both delegates and superdelegates were stripped..

She is trying to get them in play..she has the MI superdelegates, but she can’t use them right now..

    here are the pledged superdelegates

Florida and Michigan, because of the delegate situation, are empty “wins” for Clinton.

Although, there still could be some sort of deal that will be made at the convention, we don’t know yet…

Yes, Glen Beck is talking about one of Juan McCain’s directors.

Sean Hanity has “given up” and says conservatism needs to be modernized, and that the electorate has spoken; John McCain is the man to reform conservatism.

Says conservatism needs to accept global warming and the moderate illegal immigration position, and adapt to a new political environment or else risk being made obsolete.

SFL was pretty happy to hear this. And from a “big” Con talk show host.

13, SFL, you stepped in it big time. Hannity was doing SATIRE. He isn’t changing and said so. Only dead-between-the-libs are running with this. You are quite the Buffoon!

Hannity went through this yesterday, but you don’t listen often enough, and neither do the idiots you listen to.

Why doesn’t HilLiary just use the Al Gore 2000 West Palm Beach, Florida argument? Those voters who voted for Obama actually meant to vote for Hillary!

I agree with Ted about Jose/Juan McCain. No way will I support or vote for him. I may sit out the election if he is the Repub. candidate. Or write-in Pat Paulson.

Robert- That’s fine to sit out or even write in Pat Paulson, but the arguement that Hillary is what we need to start some revolution is just nonsensical. The potential damage she will cause will be irreversible..Our governemnt does not take away welfare items once they are given. We are just recooperating from Bill slashing our military..

As for the illegals..since the topic went nuclear in March, no, the wall is no closer to being built than it was. What we are seeing is states actually taking action, which is where it really needs to begin..start enforcing the laws. Start fining the employers..Illegals are starting to leave..

Illegal immigration is one issue amongst many..

What we *needed* was to have gotten behind Fred Thompson enmasse as Conservative voters, but too many were swayed by media reports and blatant lies about him being too lazy, entered too late, etc and stopped thinking and researching for ourselves. I can’t in good conscience vote for any one of the other candidates on either side and will continue writing my vote in for Fred Thompson. He is the only candidate that was deserving of the title of President. Just think what a message Conservatives could send if they would all do the same.

You can’t imagine how much that warms SFL’s heart to hear you say that, Robert!

My only hope is that more of you feel that way.
