What we *needed* was to have gotten behind Fred Thompson enmasse as Conservative voters, but too many were swayed by media reports and blatant lies about him being too lazy, entered too late, etc and stopped thinking and researching for ourselves. I can’t in good conscience vote for any one of the other candidates on either side and will continue writing my vote in for Fred Thompson. He is the only candidate that was deserving of the title of President. Just think what a message Conservatives could send if they would all do the same.

Robert- That’s fine to sit out or even write in Pat Paulson, but the arguement that Hillary is what we need to start some revolution is just nonsensical. The potential damage she will cause will be irreversible..Our governemnt does not take away welfare items once they are given. We are just recooperating from Bill slashing our military..

As for the illegals..since the topic went nuclear in March, no, the wall is no closer to being built than it was. What we are seeing is states actually taking action, which is where it really needs to begin..start enforcing the laws. Start fining the employers..Illegals are starting to leave..

Illegal immigration is one issue amongst many..

Sean Hanity has “given up” and says conservatism needs to be modernized, and that the electorate has spoken; John McCain is the man to reform conservatism.

Says conservatism needs to accept global warming and the moderate illegal immigration position, and adapt to a new political environment or else risk being made obsolete.
