Hey Robert. Cheaper than dirt has some surplus Indian 7.62 nato (308) for a very good price. Have Pam give you my email address and I'll hook you up with some of the best websites for low cost ammo.

Truly, California is by far the best State in the Union in terms of natural beauty.

I would never, in a million years, move back to Michigan or to any other "fly-over" country.

#8 FAO all taken care of...all though I do need to get more ammo, before the anti-Constitution crowd outright or de facto bans that.

#9 BonBon, yes I grew up in the SF Bay Area but got out in 2002. Now I live on 27 acres of rolling hills covered with Oak trees with a stream running trough them. The natural beauty, weather, and opportunity in kalifornia is why I don't leave. I refuse to abandon it to the Leftists and Illegals. It's too good for them; they don't deserve it.

FAO...believe me I listen to everything and weigh it all. Thanks :)

Robert, it sounds like you have a nice place. I've been in northern California (I think thats where you are), once about 20 years ago. One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. It literally took my breath away and I felt much like I did a couple years ago when I visited the Grand Canyon. I would compare the two in natural beauty.

BTW Robert, don't forget the guns and ammo to protect it. Better get them quick the UN ban on surplus ammo exports from other countries is driving the prices through the roof for good stuff. Hell, the return on investment in ammo is making me wish I had bought a couple pallets of the stuff two years ago.

Hey BonBon, here's a couple of things to consider before voting for any of the leftists (McCain included). The new McCain/Lieberman anti (BS) Global warming through social engineering via taxation is going to raise the price of gas in this country over 50 cents per gallon in tax alone. By removing the tax breaks that oil producers currently receive (these aren't subsidies like the Ethanol producers get, this is simply money that they've EARNED, and the government has taken away) combined with the increased cost of production and the Dem plan to seize the profits from the oil companies, should drive the price up an additional 50 cents to $1.50 more. That would put gasoline in the $4.50 to $5.00 per gallon range. This will also raise the price of diesel fuel, heating oil, natural gas and heating oil. These increases will cause food prices to increase dramatically as well, as food production (tractors don't run on water) and transportation costs will skyrocket. Small US trucking firms will be forced out of business. In an attempt to reduce expenses, large us trucking companies will force their drivers to take a 75% pay cut or be replaced by outsourcing to Mexican trucking firms who are now allowed to haul anywhere in the US. Swift has already opened a Mexico based division and are training drivers. With the substantially higher rate of Mexican driver's driving drunk, expect lawful US citizens to become hood ornaments on an even more regular basis than they do now.

Many industries will face massive layoffs, and bankruptcies and foreclosures will skyrocket. Yep, it'll be Jimmy Carter's administration on Steroids. Inflation will top 10% again, I expect unemployment to top 12% and it won't matter where interest rates are because far too many people will be unemployed to matter. Additionally, when the Bush tax cuts expire in 2010, the people with the money to actually pull the economy out of the crapper will not invest it because it will be counter productive for them to do so.

With the basic lack of knowledge of how an economy works among three of the four top tier candidates being damn near zero, we could go from being on the edge of a recession to being in a full blown depression in just a few short months. And of course none of them will admit that their screwed up economic policies caused it.

Honestly, my suggestion is to buy some land in the boonies plant an orchard, and a garden and stock up on food, water, and other supplies because this could be a very BAD time for this country in the very near future. While Carter wasn't stating that he intended to ban/confiscate over half of the firearms in this country, Hillary has. Obama is from a city known for doing so, and only God knows what goes through the mind of McCain. Romney can at least be pursuaded to NOT try anything that stupid.

Still feeling good about it for the Left for many reasons.

It's still way too early to start talking about endgame matchup polls, plenty of time before the election.

Also...I kind of like Juan McCain (I love that phrasing, Ted).

A McCain presidency woulnd't be so bad. I think he'd work with the Democratic Majority, and I think things would actually get done.

It's possible, I've heard some conservative radio show hosts say, that he would only run for one term.

All that said, I'm 100% for Obama, and I think he can win - especially once more people hear him speak.

"In the meantime though my opinion is that this is a man who gave 9 years of his life in captivity for all of our rights to speak and have opinions. I can't imagine he would maliciously hurt this country for that one reason alone."

Like John Murtha served?

Like Lee harvey Oswald served?

Like John Kerry serrved?

Just becasue a man served at one point, or was even captives, does not absolve them of all future sins. The man that they were does not scare me, but the man that they became scares the living bejeebus outta me.

I don't just have it in for McCain- I have it in for all these plastic patriots you folks are running up to support.
