“I do not think it is appropriate to give a drivers license to someone who is here undocumented, putting them frankly at risk, because that is clear evidence that they are not here legally.”

Highlights Michelle picked up:

Hillary lays out how she’ll Britain-ize our health care through “efficiencies.” Dr. Hillarycare will have electronic medical records. She cites Newt Gingrich, Bill Frist, and the RAND Corporation. See! She’s reaching across the aisle!

8:38pm Eastern. Obama: We have a “moral obligation” to tax wealthy people out the wazoo to provide more health insurance. Hillary will go back to pre-Bush tax levels.

8:39pm Eastern. Politico lady goes to immigration. “It’s a divisive issue for you all as for Republicans.” Cites reader question: “There’s been no acknowledgement of negative economic impact of immigration on African-American community. How will you address negative impact on wages of flood of illegal immigraiton?”

GOOD QUESTION. First good question in ages!

Obama goes first. He’s not answering the question. He’s denying that illegal immigration has anything to with it. It’s “scapegoating.” How can any sane person deny the reality of the impact on construction, janitorial, other blue-collar jobs once held by black Americans?
Obama: Meet South Central Los Angeles.

Obama panders to open borders lobby. “Create a pathway to citizenship.”

Hillary acknowledges that depressed wages from illegal immigration are a real problem. She talks about a black voter affected by it.

Her solution? Why, “comprehensive immigration reform,” of course!

McCain is nodding.

Hillary demonizes those who favor enforcement, deportation.

Meet the other Hillary who favors deporting criminal aliens immediately.

Obama defends his support of driver’s licenses for illegals: “It’s the right thing to do.”

Obama starts to stumble. Wants to clarify that wage depression in black community “is not primarily” due to immigration.

Obama panders again: Citing his DREAM Act support.

Obama is getting tangled. Now he doesn’t support driver’s licenses for illegals until AFTER we have comprehensive immigration reform. Tying himself into knots.

Hillary defends herself against Obama charge that she was AWOL on last year’s shamnesty. She snorts that she co-sponsored shamnesty in 2004. She condemns “demagoguery.” She brags about farmworkers’ endorsement. She’s hogging the stage. Obama loses this round.

She launches into her open-borders demagoguery, strawmen.

Clinton says she doesn’t support for driver’s licenses for illegals.

Obama points out that she gave six answers. “At this point, she’s got a clear position. But it took a while.”

Applause.

“I bring this up to underscore that this is a difficult political issue.”

Obama says the Dems will have real differences with GOP on immigration.

Ha.

Politico lady: Neither of you have run a business. Why should you be CEO of the government?

Hillary: US Government is not a business. It’s not out to make a PROFIT.

Why should the government be out to make a profit when they can just take everyone else’s?.

Truth be told, the US Government is the most horribly mismanaged business in the world. When I worked with supply in the Army, it was DESIRABLE to overspend your quarterly budgets and UNDESIRABLE to stay within them. WHY? Because if you were conscientious and didn’t exceed your budget, they’d cut it the following quarter. You’d not only LOSE the money you had saved the previous quarter, they’d lower the amount you had for the next one as well. In other words, if you were able to keep your vehicles maintained for less than budgeted one quarter, you had better hope that none of them needed any major repairs or servicing the next. And they wondered why I became so good at scrounging repair parts. It was the only way to keep some of my 15+ year old vehicles operational.

HilLiary: flip-flop, flip-flop. Once again, saying what she thinks the current audience wants at the moment.

And yet there are fools, morons, idiots, sheeple, and hacks that will vote for her!!!

“Hillary lays out how she’ll Britain-ize our health care through “efficiencies.” ”

She could start by getting the lawyers and the frauders out of the health care system. Oh wait, can’t do that…the Trial Lawyers practically own the Denocrite Party, and the frauders make up an important part of the Democrap Constituency…

It’s pretty much a sure bet that America will get some form of Universal Health Care system in the next 4 to 8 years.

With a Democratic congress and a Democratic president, who’s going to stop them?

Standing in the way of progress is not how a political party needs to be remembered.

Those who oppose what the people overwhelmingly want are going to pay for it at election time.

Do you really want the GOP to be the permanent minority party for decades, like they were in the 20th century after the popular New Deal programs?

Unless that “progress” leads to the destruction of what we know as America…

I’m sure that same thing was said about the New Deal, by some loser Republican back in `33.

Look what it got him. 60 years as the minority party.

The “New Deal” has been a disaster for America and the Constitution. It never even fulfilled its stated goal of ending the Depression; it just created the Welfare State.

Sounds like all you are focused on is political expediancy and winning elections for your side. That kind of thinking is shallow, damaging, and dangerous.

“Standing in the way of progress is not how a political party needs to be remembered.”

I am curious…exactly what progress are you talking about?

Regarding the New Deal, the perspective of history has not been favorable of it. Using a more relevant time frame, Dems are looked at with disdain becasue of LBJ, Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton as they are tired of the tax and spend tactics used by them to support their programs. When they can not even support themselves, they really don’t care about what you are going to do with the money.

This is what I am counting of with Hillary- she will evoke the spirit of Jimmy Carter and LBJ and folks will be repeled by it.

That is, if they wake up.

Ted, I hate to say it, but except for Mitt Romney, it doesn’t really matter which of the other morons gets elected. Obama, McCain or Hillary are all, more or less, interchangeable as wannabe socialists. They are going to tax the working people of this country into the poor house while feathering their own nests with tax payer dollars. Mitt doesn’t need to, He’s earned his own wealth without questionable land or cattle future deals, or multimillion dollar book advances. BJ Billy was talking about how Hillary is going to bring back the middle class dream to the US. I want to know how she’s going to do it? Tax all of those who’ve managed to get out of the middle class until they’re back in it? Tax everyone in the middle class to the point where getting to the middle class is just a dream instead of a reality? Dems haven’t done a damn thing to stimulate the economy since WWII, except JFK’s income tax rate cuts. And you damn sure don’t hear any of them touting that approach to stimulating the economy. Socialists don’t want a thriving economy. A thriving economy means that the people don’t need the government to control every aspect of their lives which is the ultimate liberal/socialist’s goal.
