Obama says borrowed lines not a big deal, is the headline, but borrowing entails returning.

I think maybe Hillary is making too much of this, but he should have given credit. I don’t like either one of them, don’t trust them.
“”Now hold on a second. Let’s see ” I’ve written two books, wrote most of my speeches,” Obama told reporters at a news conference after touring a titanium plant.”"
Did he REALLY write the books all by himself? Did he really write his speeches all by himself? Are those true statements? I’m asking the question.
I’m wondering how much input his wife has. I heard that she told him “Don’t think, just FEEL.” Oh my.
Thanks Debbie, I was going to say all that.
OK, if I borrow those words????
:d
Hmmm…has the Klinton smear machine started its work? I have been waiting for them to start…is this it?
I think it says more about Obama than Clinton. I saw Rove on O’Reilly last night and he was correct. This is theft and laziness. This isn’t the first time he was confronted like this. Patrick spoke the words and they were profound, he should have been credited with them. Can’t Obama come up with his own profound statements? It gets back to what is really behind hope/change? It looks rather empty..
Pffsh.
Is this the best they can come up with?

This prety comment from Gov. Patrick below pretty much ends this in my book.
The man credited with writing Sen. Barack Obama’s “power of words” speech today called the plagiarism accusation “not fair” and said it was an attempt to “belittle his ability to motivate people.”
Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick told “Good Morning America” that Sen. Hillary Clinton was wrong to accuse Obama of poaching his lines.

Oops…
The comments below from Gov. Patrick pretty much ends this nonsense, in my book.
http://www.abcnews.go.com/GMA/Vote2008/story?id=4310143&page=1
“I’ve known Barack 15 years. We’ve talked a good deal. I fully expected he would sustain a charge at some point, trying to belittle his ability to motivate people. I got the same attack,” Patrick said.
Obama should have given the credit to the Governor. Plagiarism is the laziness of a very smart mind… he thinks he can get away without doing his homework… he does this on television in a Tim Russert interview
Obama acknowledged he borrowed lines from Patrick, but he said he did so at Patrick’s suggestion. Obama, known for his eloquent speeches, conceded he should have given the governor credit for the lines.
“I’m sure I should have – didn’t this time,” Obama said.

David Plouffe, Obama’s campaign manager, described the plagiarism charges as a red-herring distraction, with Clinton aides desperately “grasping at straws to try and create some momentum for their campaign.”

Yawn!
He acknowledged it after he was caught. It never should have gotten to this. He is alledgedly and educated man..
Clinton Campaign: A “Pattern” of Obama Borrowing [Byron York]
“Pffsh.
Is this the best they can come up with? ”
Nope. This is just the beginning. The KKKlinton smear machine has apparently started. Watch lots more dirt to come out now; we’ll hear about every time Obama ever forgot to return a library book and more.
This is what the KKKlinton vermin do; it is in their DNA. They’re just getting started.
You are most likely right on Robert. The KKKlinton’s do seem to have a way of fighting dirty. I’m just crossing my fingers that the smears lay on heavy because we do not need a muslim as president of the US.
How can you “lift” comments when they were freely given to you by the source?
This smear is pathetic, and honestly makes The Clintons look worse, and even desperate, for even trying to use this as an issue.
He lifted them before they were given..
Hi BonBon…Happy Tuesday! It makes me smile to see you use “KKKlintons” in post 19. b-)
Sometimes a nickname, a slight variation in spelling, or use of phonetics can be so descriptive.
In this particular situation, “KKKlintons” says a lot…
And I agree with you (19) about not needing a Muslim as President. I’ve heard it said Obama is not a Muslim, but I have also heard evidence to suggest he is.
