I work full time with jr. and sr. high students who have been kicked out of public school for any number of reasons. What Gary has to say is not only eloquent but dead on! I'm not necassarily angry as much as I am disgusted. I don't base my decisions on the color of skin otherwise I wouldn't have married my husband - who happens to be a fed up black man who owns his own business, owns a gun and takes great care of his several employees and family. The color of the skin has nothing to do with the attitude - it's like all stereotypes - it just so happens that most of the people who grew up with these "traditional american values" are white men who have been quiet about it for so long because they don't feel like being called racist when they are not! If you want to have an intelligent conversation with someone calling names is not the way to go. No where in this article are there any instances of name calling. Just pure truth as a majority of responsible, caring hard working PEOPLE - white, black, man or woman - see it. So if you disagree with Gary's article fight it on the merit of the premise not by calling him an idiot or a racist or a neanderthol since he is clearly intelligent, probably not a racist and the last time a checked the neanderthols died out quite a while ago. What far too many liberals fail to understand is that this country isn't about the land itself it's about the freedoms and ideals espoused by our founding fathers. Freedoms and ideals that are routinely trampled on and disparaged by the liberals. The right to strive to be your best, and the responsibility to provide for yourself and your kids without expecting others to do it for you. Yep, I’m an angry white man.
