If I were the parent of any of Hunter Javens, 9, Jesse Javens, 13, (Hunter & Jesse were brothers) Emilee Olson, 9, or Reed Stevens, 12, I would have attorney’s going after Mayor, R.T. Rybak and the cities of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Worthington for the sanctuary policies. Those children are the victims, and they were the ones that were vulnerable!:
EMILEE OLSON, 9
Charles and Traci Olson of Cottonwood adopted Emilee in China when she was 10 months old. Relatives said first sight meant everything.
“She looked up at Traci from the floor, and their eyes met, and you knew that it was meant to be from that moment on,” said Terri Hutchinson, Emilee’s aunt and Traci’s sister, who joined Traci in China.
Emilee was already crawling, strong and vibrant that day, her aunt said.
“She sang in choir, learned to play piano and picked up pieces real easily,” Hutchinson said. “Her sister Bailee played, and she could pretty much play the (song) right away.
“She was energetic, fun, loving. Loved life. Very talented with a smile on her face all the time. She lit up a room. Such a beautiful young girl with so much left.”
Emilee’s mother is a physical education teacher at the school.
HUNTER JAVENS, 9
Hunter loved basketball, football, wrestling and baseball. He also liked video games, drawing and hanging out with his friends. Friends described him as a happy-go-lucky kid.
Hunter was a fourth grader at Lakeview School. He and brother Jesse were the sons of Marty and Rita Javens of Cottonwood.
Robert Javens, a great uncle to Hunter and Jesse, said the boys “were just typical kids.”
“They weren’t no angels and they weren’t no devils. They were normal kids.”
JESSE JAVENS, 13
Jesse was a big pro wrestling fan and could be the class clown at times. The seventh-grader liked hunting and being on the middle school football team.
“It hit everybody in the town really hard, but especially this family, with two of them gone,” said Terry Lange, ex-brother-in-law of the boys’ father, Marty Javens. In addition, Lange said, Hunter has a twin sister, and there are four older siblings in the blended family.
“All you can do is just be with them,” he said of the family members. “Everybody is still in shock.”
REED STEVENS, 12
Reed was remembered as outgoing, with an interest in sports, leadership and a strong faith.
The seventh-grader was the son of Dan and Kandy Stevens of Marshall.
“Reed was a young man who loved God, his country and his family. And he also loved his football family. We know that he is with the Lord,” his mother, a former teacher at the school, said in a statement read by Superintendent Sheldon Johnson.
Reed had helped organize a “gather at the pole” prayer event at Lakeview School, and was planning for a trip to Australia as a People to People student ambassador this summer.
“He had a lot of imagination,” friend Quinn Fenger said. “He liked to draw a lot of fantasy stuff.”

Gee, how soon will these sanctuary cities in the rest of the country learn what those of us in the border states know, but our politicians refuse to admit, illegal aliens are a threat to the health and safety of every LEGAL resident of this country. I had a discussion with a friend from Maryland who spouted “they only do the jobs Americans won’t do” BS. I then informed him of the facts of the situation. The facts that include that the jobs would be filled by Americans if the employers paid a legitimate wage, that the illegals cost Arizona over a billion dollars annually in wages, how they depress wages in Arizona another billion a year, how they utilize ERs as primary care physicians without paying resulting in the closures of hundreds of ERs, how they have a criminality rate over 5 times that of legal residents, etc, etc, etc…. He had never heard over half of what I was telling him and he looked shocked.

Bill O’Reilly, on his show “The Factor”, has chronicled numerous cases where illegals have killed Americans. Either through drunk driving or outright murder.
This reality alone is enough for me to say “No Mas!”

FAO the people who parrot the cheap labor line are too ignorant to understand that the true cost of their cheap labor is just shifted onto other areas (like Gov’t services). The cost of their crimes cannot be calculated.

Well. maybe Hitlary and her ilk want a virtual slave class they can work hard without having to pay a living wage, plus as a bonus more free fraudulent DemokRat votes, but the rest of us (who mow our own lawns, clean our own houses, and don’t go to restaraunts as much because we are trying to pay taxes and high energy prices sure as hell don’t want or need them.
And this case alone (it breaks my heart to see the faces of those kids!

The key difference SFL is that illegals are not supposed to be here to begin with. If they weren’t here they wouldn’t have accidents that kill or be killed here because of an accident.
As for the rest this is truly sad. I’m beside myself. What really angers me is that Gov. Martin O’Malley is purchasing new equipment so that he can process drivers licenses for illegal aliens at a higher rate than the 100,000 he gave out last year. For those that think that’s a high number consider this. Maryland processes requests from abroad.

Illegal aliens are responsible, through illegal actions other than just entering the US illegally, for the deaths of more Americans IN THE US annually than the terrorists have been able to accomplish in Iraq in 4 years. Why doesn’t THAT FACT ever get reported on the evening news? A friend’s daughter was killed by an illegal alien who was DRIVING DRUNK, WITHOUT A LICENSE, WHILE ON PROBATION for driving drunk, after being arrested for drunk driving AND deported multiple times. Hell, it’s gotten so bad that there’s a support group called “Victims of Illegal Aliens.” If Illegal Aliens are so wonderful, why do they represent 4-6% of the general population but over 25% of the prison population?

#12 SFL I have never heard of one, but…if there are any cases…then you have just made the argument that illegals need to be protected…by keeping them out of the U.S.

I’m not afraid of undocumented workers, like most conservatives are.
I actually know a few of them, and find them to be…human beings…just like the rest of.
Middle ground will be found on this issue, soon enough.
A Dem prez and a stronger Dem congress will, as usual, fix the problem.
Hell, worse comes to worse and McCain gets in; with a Dem congress HE might even help pass a good bill on immigration.
LOL…either way, xenophobic Cons are screwed.

SFL, this is one example, one case, where you are the one with the blinders on. Over the last year or so, in many separate threads, we have presented overwhelming examples of how the cost of illegal immigration (actual and intangible) vastly exceeds any benefit they bring.
And you just plod ahead, blinders firmly in place, refusing to acknowledge any of it, always returning to your racism/xenophobia argument.
No matter who gets into the White House, this issue ain’t going away. It is building, growing, from the ground up. It is a grassroots movement. Let’s just hope it will be dealt with before there is a Civil war over it. You think I am exaggerating? That could come from more than obe source, including the armed gangs themselves.

I have a problem understanding how these laws are made in the first place when the politicians are supposed to be representing the intersts of the people. (The people who are legally supposed to be here). There is a solution to this problem and yes we will have to riot in the streets. We need to clean “House” starting in D.C. and to every state capitol. If they love the illegals so much they need to join them on a deportation bus. You don’t encourage good behavior by condoning bad behavior. This country was built on immigration and continues to grow by it. However, they must go through the process like everyone else. Send us your tired, your weary, your poor, but keep your criminals!

I keep going the way I’m going because I understand that there is NOTHING we can do that will stop these people from risking their lives to come to the US to make more money then they ever could back home.
Essentially, Robert, it is an undeniable and unstoppable fact that these people will flock to our country. You must learn to let go and accept that hard fact to swallow.
We simply must move BEYOND your ideas of an impossible “removal” and thowback protectionism and move FORWARD with ideas that deal with the people who are here and as they come.
I repeat, there is NOTHING you can do to stop the flow of people, short of making our dollar and wages as low as possible.
Put down the old far right con arguments about “illegals” throw them out, etc…and start coming up with ways to make these new arrivials Americans and better contribute to our society.

Since the Mayors and Governors of sanctuary states/cities like these criminals so much, they should feel comfort in becoming a legitimate target as these illegal criminals have made us to feel. They are condoning the theft of your child’s future. These criminals (and their permitting politcal accomplices) pollute the economic fairness of the legitimate employment scene. Politicians see only a voting block of subserviant slaves. Perhaps it’s “their” job/other that should be on the block!
Perhaps if we’re going to give away our jobs to the lowest bidder, we should give the Politicians’ jobs to an illegal as well. Down south…that’s a very real possibilty. Perhaps soon, up north as well!
Perhaps they should feel uncomforted knowing their kids or wife could easily be taken out by one of them, as were the 4 kids in the bus crash caused by an illegal. Their deaths can be laid directly at the feet of these holier than thou politicians! They should not only be sued, but also …. deported, jailed or something more permanent, as they are “as criminal”, as these criminals are!!!
Perhaps more so because their policies threaten more citizens on a far broader scale.
Let there be OPEN confrontation!
