Oh my god!

You people here are the reason for the whole world thinking of the USA as a country of idiots and fools.

Freedom of speech is great, but the internet made it way too easy for those without a reasoned opinion to proclaim it publicly.

At least a few of you seem to use their brain to think about what absurdities the media circulates these days.

Obama's policies will lead to three things:

HIGHER TAXES

HIGHER UNEMPLOYMENT as companies reduce expenses to try and pay those taxes

HIGHER PRICES as companies who have cut payroll as far as possible, begin raising prices to make up the difference.

The secondary results will include:

HIGHER INTEREST RATES as the Federal Reserve moves to try and control inflation.

MORE FORECLOSURES as homeowners lose their homes after losing their jobs

MORE BANKRUPTCIES as unemployed people become unable to pay their bills

MORE HOMELESSNESS as more unemployed people become unable to even rent an apartment

MORE CRIME as peopler become more desperate to feed their families after losing their jobs.

MORE SUICIDES and/or MURDER/SUICIDES as people who have lost their jobs become despondent at not being able to replace them

LOWER WAGES and BENEFITS as employers caught in the cash crunch and with a surplus of available labor will be able to offer less and demand more from desperate job seekers.

These are not conjecture. These are the natural and historical outcome of the marxist/socialist economic theories that Obama espouses. While his theories might not result in massive upheaval in lifestyle in a third world country, they will so degrade the lifestyle of the average American that violent uprisings could result. Odds of a violent uprising would increase the longer that the depression resulting from his policies lasts and deepens. If Mexicans in Oaxaca would riot over the price of tortillas going up, what do you think could happen here?

Yep, Pam, as you took the time to research and point out in your above post, just saying 'McCain voted against ____" really falls apart when you look into what that legislation actually was all about.

So the fact remains that the best indications of someone's character, the best indicator of who they are as a person and an American, are what their actions have been, their background, and yes, their associations.

Obama FAILS that standard miserably.

"You and your socialst/marxist BS crack me up. Just because Obama refuses to continue the tax cuts that Bush started and McCain wants to continue does not make him a socialist."

Such a laughable straw man. You'll have to do much better to engage on this site.

"A 2002 study released today by Citizens for Tax Justice and the Children's Defense Fund reveals for the first time who stands to benefit from the 2001-enacted Bush tax cuts in each year from 2001 through 2010. Among the key findings:
-Over the ten-year period, the richest Americans"the best-off one percent"are slated to receive tax cuts totaling almost half a trillion dollars."

:o WHAT a revelation! If you enact income tax cuts, the people who actually PAY the taxes will get the benefits! Who'd a thunk it?

"1) Obama dodges and avoids talking about things regarding his personal life simply bc they are non issues."

They are not non-issues. Obama came up literally out of nowhere as a candidate and was a nationally unknown quantity. It is quite appropriate to ask who this man is because again, actions are a better indicator of character than words. His background is a very legitimate question.

"Also, just bc Obama wants to ‘talk' to our enemies (Castro, Chavez) and also Israel/Palestine (an ally) does not mean he is un American."

That's a straw man. Nobody here said "just because he wants to "talk' to out enemies" he is un-American.

"Im sure thats why Al Quada endorsed Bush's campaign, and the same will go for McCain."

Are you joking? Al Qaeda and Achmadinejhad plus Chavez and Castro have already publicly stated their hopes that Obama wins.

"So, her (Palin's) energy plan is in itself is just not enough to get my vote."

The most fundamental, the most basic, the most empirical issue to the future of this country is energy. Both the economy and the security; energy is the most fundamental issue. So if Palin brings to the table knowledge and a workable energy plan, she will have well earned her position even if she did nothing else. Obama is a kindergartner compared to Palin on this issue.

"The poor get poorer, the rich are unaffected, and the middle class continues to get screwed."

I'm against CEOs looting companies and I think there needs to be more oversight of the securities area, plus banking. I'd like to see a lot of vermin hanged for what they have done. But who is screwing the middle class day after day, over and over, in ways that are very real and personal? The Government. By not having a real, workable, intelligent energy plan in place 36 years after the first Arab oil boycott and ensuing crisis, and the now the Pelosi refusal to address the issue, the people are screwed every day bigtime. oh the one thing they have done is subsidize and mandate Ethanol (because they were bought and paid for by the Ethanol lobby). Which caused food prices to rise, double-screwing the people. And the State Gov't? In Kalifornia, it feels like the Gov't has become the enemy of the people. The Bureacrats sit around enacting regulations, many of which are stupid, that raise the cost of living, working, and doing business in the state with little more results than taking more of your money to support an ever-increasing bureacracy. If you had an hour to listen I could give you many concrete examples. What we need overall, on all levels is net LESS Gov't. Obama and the Socialists/Democrites promise more Gov't.

"what particularly about Obama makes him any more socialist/marxist than any prior Democratic candidate or president?"

Obama is a disciple, student, and product of the Saul Alinsky philosophy and theory of Marxism. Do some research. And this is where his past and present associations come into play. They show this quite clearly. Do some research! You won't find the links on the Obama website, and the MSM sure won't talk about it. But the truth is out there.

The old American Communist party of the 1960s is gone. It has infiltrated into the Democrat party, and today's Democrat party is effectively the American Communist party.

The Bush tax cuts did not burden the poor
http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/23631.html

The Obama and McCain Tax Plans: How Do They Compare?
http://www.heritage.org/Research/Taxes/cda08-09.cfm

McCain voted against the Equal Pay Bill for Women on 4/23/08? That day there was a Cloture Motion (Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Motion to Proceed to Consider H.R. 2831 )
Vote Number: 110
McCain did not vote..but the AFL-CIO wouldn't want you to know that
http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=110&session=2&vote=00110

As to the bill itself,it is ridiculous bill. Women could go back 50 years and sue? Please! How about they change the statute of limitations from 6 months to between 3-10 years? I do believe had it is written properly, you would see the bill passed.

McCain voted for the FMLA (wow looks like the AFL-CIO isn't working for you!)
http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d103:h.r.00001:

Yes McCain said he hates gooks..do you know any of the history of that comment, or the history that followed it? I am guessing not.

Yes, McCain and his Cindy got married a month after his divorce was final..has he denied this? Which one of them was in worse physical shape? It seems to me that both had horrendous medical conditions. Did Carol McCain deny this? You do know that they have a good relationship don't you?

McCain supporters say racist things..really/ Is it worse than the acts of violence by Obama supporters or the sexist things said about Palin?

Yeah, that seems fair. And I'm also so sick of hearing from older people that having tax cuts is the answer- As if the trickle-down theory actually works. I thought that you were supposed to get MORE intelligent and gain MORE wisdom as the years progressed? I guess when you start off with none it's not your fault if your percentage of common sense has progressed but is still quite low...

You and your socialst/marxist BS crack me up. Just because Obama refuses to continue the tax cuts that Bush started and McCain wants to continue does not make him a socialist.

The attempts to call the democratic presidential candidate "Robin Hood Obama" aren't few- however, after 8 years of Bush policies that consequentially seem to make the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, I think we could stand to see a little "change"in financial policies. I personally don't think that in the economic situation we're in right now we can say that these policies have been working for those who are "not rich”, and these are policies that McCain would like to continue. Fantastic!

"A 2002 study released today by Citizens for Tax Justice and the Children's Defense Fund reveals for the first time who stands to benefit from the 2001-enacted Bush tax cuts in each year from 2001 through 2010. Among the key findings:
-Over the ten-year period, the richest Americans"the best-off one percent"are slated to receive tax cuts totaling almost half a trillion dollars. The $477 billion in tax breaks the Bush administration has targeted to this elite group will average $342,000 each over the decade.
-By 2010, when (and if) the Bush tax reductions are fully in place, an astonishing 52 percent of the total tax cuts will go to the richest one percent"whose average 2010 income will be $1.5 million. Their tax-cut windfall in that year alone will average $85,000 each. Put another way, of the estimated $234 billion in tax cuts scheduled for the year 2010, $121 billion will go just 1.4 million taxpayers."

You and your socialst/marxist BS crack me up. Just because Obama refuses to continue the tax cuts that Bush started and McCain wants to continue does not make him a socialist.

The attempts to call the democratic presidential candidate “Robin Hood Obama” aren’t few- however, after 8 years of Bush policies that consequentially seem to make the rich get richer while the poor get poorer, I think we could stand to see a little “change”in financial policies. I personally don’t think that in the economic situation we’re in right now we can say that these policies have been working for those who are “not rich”, and these are policies that McCain would like to continue.
