AG Mukasey Tells Pelosi He Won’t Pursue Contempt Citations Because There Is No Crime
She’s angry, but I am fairly certain, he is right:
“The contempt of Congress statute was not intended to apply and could not constitutionally be applied to an executive branch official who asserts the president’s claim of executive privilege,” Mukasey wrote, quoting Justice policy.
“Accordingly,” Mukasey concluded, “the department has determined that the noncompliance by Mr. Bolten and Ms. Miers with the Judiciary Committee subpoenas did not constitute a crime.”

It’s hard to believe this stupid AG wanna-be-scandal nonsense is still around! Here’s a couple of hints to pelosi and her Keystone Cops:
1. There never was anything here; the Executive can hire and fire AGs for no reason at all.
2. The American people (the ones that even understood this)couldn’t care less, save for a few nutroots, moonbats, and whackjobs.
