Dan,

How about we waterboard you after you vomit to clean you up. It will probably be the first time you were clean since your mommy stopped doing it for you.

Patrick,

You and dumb Dan just showcased your shallowness of thought. Too bad you can't be designated for terrorist casualty instead of a truly innocent person.

Dan and Patrick,

I'm with you. Personally if it's the difference between saving maybe tens of thousands of american lives or protecting one or two terrorists civil liberties, I would much rather protect their liberties and let many americans die.

It's the patriotic and sane way, right??

Such a shame that the very people who believe they are the patriotic americans have no idea what America represents.

Can't wait to get some sanity back in the White house and SCOTUS. November can't come soon enough.

FrmrArtyOffcr, if having the moral high ground means nothing to you then you are not worth saving. What level of imaginary safety do you want in exchange for losing all memory of what it means to be an American? Your saving "the lives of potentially millions of people" is fantasy - obviously from your first paragraph, you get your reality from TV - but the shame of being a torturer is real. At least it is real to me, because seeing a fellow American blithely promoting waterboarding makes me want to vomit.

Absolutely NOT. Why do some people think that it is necessary for us to reveal to our ENEMIES exactly how we intend to collect intelligence from them so that they can find a way to counter it? Lennie James' character Robert Hawkins in the tv series "Jericho" acted like he was going to torture another character for information. After James made a great show of preparing to cause the guy a great deal of pain, he talked. When Skeet Ulrich's character confronted James' character about it, James responded, "Jake, you and I both know that torture doesn't work. The FEAR of torture however does."

It's just like waterboarding. It's almost impossible to actually drown someone through waterboarding, however the fear of drowning QUICKLY defeats their rational ability to resist. They don't talk because they're drowning. They talk because of the natural instinct is to do whatever it takes to avoid drowning. Once the rational ability to resist is eliminated, the will to resist leaves as well. Why do some of these morons think that having a supposed moral high ground is worth the lives of potentially millions of people? Do they think the terrorists respect the US more because we are willing to allow them to murder thousands of us, rather than violate their civil liberties? Considering Moussaoui's computer had details about the 9/11 plot but a judge refused to grant the FBI the right to open it shows just how screwed up the FISA system is.
