    This current Congress is arguably the worst in U.S. history.

    Hardly. That would be the last one that was removed from power by the will of a majority of voters across the nation.

    Pelosi must have figured she had to play hardball with this bill.

    Good for her. Why beat around the bush? She should use the SAME tactics and tricks the republicans used to walk all over democrats for years and years.
