Capable is one thing, as McCain seems to be capable of beating Obama in the general election. To say one is “capable” means absolutely nothing. At this point, Obama’s weaknesses are starting to jut through. The Republicans haven’t even begin to wail on him yet, and as of right now per Rausmusson Obama is now losing the independent vote to McCain (which is something you stated that you feared happening in a previous post).

Getting the nomination however is very different story. In the next week we will be able to tell if this story gets enough tread to bury Obama. At this point, is has given Hillary a 12 point swing in favorables. You have to admit, a sustained swing like that will be bard for him to survive.

Exactly- there is absolutely nothing wrapped up. In addition to what you said, if the polls (something the Dems live and die by) begin to show Hillary as a better candidate in the general election, the normal delate vote can quickly close on Obama. Since the Rev. Wrong incident, Obama’s favorability rating has dropped 7% now, and Hillary’s is up 5%.

SFL- you really don’t get those superdelegates do you? I don’t know how to make myself more clear, but Hillary is still leading in superdelegates..They are not bound by the will of the people, they are bound to no one..if they were, there would be no reason to have them. Obama does not have anything wrapped up. If he did, there wouldn’t be a list of uncommitted superdelegates would there? The list of sd’s would reflect the will of each state wouldn’t it?

Ok…

My humble opinion would be that the Hillary vs. Obama poll is useless. Obama has an almost complete lock on the nomination, even if he loses PA by 10% points.. The Democratic contest is basically over. He won.

As far as the Obama vs. McCain poll…well, that’s more relevant but, come on, it’s not even April. (!)

The only one that “worries” me would be the Indies moving away from Obama. Hopefully that’s just a little blip…we’ll see.

People are clearly seeing what Obama is all about, and frankly, it’s smoke and mirrors (or bullshit, in the vernacular).

The only real change involved in bringing Obama in as POTUS is we would have a junior politician, amateur BS artist, and whining minority with a Marxist agenda instead of the usual polished professional white male lying politician.

Sen. Obama, I do NOT believe in your brand of change!
