These idiots are talking out of both sides of their mouths. They're saying they're going to withdraw the troops and replace them with a multinational peacekeeping force, at the same time that they KNOW (or at least SHOULD know) that the only country that can put together a functional force to operate in Iraq is US. Hence, the bulk of the multinational force will be Americans. The only difference will be our highly trained and motivated soldiers will be saddled with less able troops from other countries to cover their backs. Think Black Hawk Down scenario all over again. If it weren't for the Ethiopians being willing to send in their armor to help get our rangers out, the casualties would've been a lot higher. Other countries weren't as willing to help. The book covers a lot of information that just can't be put into a 2 hour movie. Why are the Democrats so in favor of sending our soldiers out into hostile territory without adequate means to protect themselves? Why don't we drop a bunch of them into the DC projects at night with nothing but their wallets and wristwatches to defend themselves with.
