Complete idiot for sure! WHERE do you start with something like this? ALL evidence has demonstrated that lowering CG tax benefits everyone.

Good Lord! There is so much known about this…that one statement alone shows Obama is utterly ignorant and is unfit for the Senate, let alone the White House.

I remember when Barack Saddam Hussein Osama Obama first started getting headlines early in the campaign; the criticism was that his rhetoric was great, but where was the substance?

Now that we are getting to know this clown better, his substance is crap! It is stupidity! What little real plan he has comes straight from the teachings of Marx and Lenin. Otherwise this guy is vapid.

Obama seems confident that an increase in capital gains rates will do much to help an economy in crisis.

“What it will also do is first of all help out the federal Treasury, which is running a credit card up with the bank of China and other countries,”said Obama. “What it will also do, I think, is allow us to make investments in basic scientific research, in infrastructure, in broadband lines, in green energy and will allow us to give some relief to middle class and working class families who have been driving this economy as consumers but have been doing it through credit cards and home equity loans. They’re not going to be able to do that.”

    Sounds reasonable.

    Obama is a political God.

    No, it’s idiocy.

No, actually, it’s a smart political move because Democrats - remember he’s only competeing for Dem votes now - want to hear exactly this kind of talk. The Robin Hood thing.

Democrats, generally speaking, want a nominee who will talk about taxing those who have wealth and then use that money for social services and the environemtn. Which is exactly what Obama said.

Naturally, conservatives and republicans disagree. That’s why you have your guy to vote for and we have ours come November.

What many be idiocy to some, is wisdom to others.

Truth is truly in the eye of the beholder.

SFL- did you type that with a crack pipe in your hand?

SFL: Thanks. My comment #7 wasn’t directed at you personally.

You know, Pam (SFL — don’t fall over), I can see what SFL’s saying, and in large measure understand what he’s talking about. Obama and Clinton are naturally going to talk up the sticking it to the “wealthy” — unaware just how far down the ladder you can be and still be considered wealthy. But what is never considered is that I don’t work for the government, so why does the gov’t have its hands so deep in my pocket? Also, no matter how much money gets thrown at a problem, we always end up with the same proportion of people who who views the safety net as a hammock.

If all it took was throwing money at problems, why do the problems still exist?

I think there is a distinction between what SFL is saying and the issue itself of raising the Cap Gains tax. SFL is saying that position makes sense for Obama strategically, in trying to get elected. In that sense SFL is 100% correct.

Obama is saying that because that rhetoric plays out well with the Marxists, the nutroots, the socialists, and a lot of dopes who can’t think enough on their own to recognize it for what it is. And there are a lot of them out there…

But even if he did mean it that way, one still has to wonder if the logic involves crack;)

    WTF, Pam! Crack?!

Both Robert and Sasha back up my little note on Obamas political strategery regarding CG taxes.

The only one smoking crack here is the one who thinks a play like this won’t go over well with Democratic voters. Or, degenerates and dope smokers as Robert calls them.

Obama may be playing to the crowd, or he may be falling back on his socialist/marxist roots. I’m hoping for the latter. Seeing as Obama is supposed to be all about Change and being different from other politicians, he’s either a Socialist or a liar. If he’s saying this just to get votes, he’s a liar and just like Hillary. If he actually BELIEVES what he’s saying, he’s a socialist and Marxism isn’t particularly new either.

The fact is that increasing capital gains and income tax rates DECREASES actual revenues. It discourages the investment necessary to grow the economy. Without investment, companies don’t expand their operations, don’t create more jobs, and can’t expand their sales force. All of which results in stagnant or reduced output when adjusted for inflation. Why is it so hard for people to understand the concept of compounding? The more people have to spend, the more that they can buy. The more that person “A” buys the more all of the people in the production and sales chain for those items can make, and the more people that can be in that supply chain.

Obama is an idiot alright and is acting like he owns the White House already. I say tax that lousy church of his. I think the preachers and churches should be taxed. Let’s capital gains them. That would warm things up, and pay for some education, health care, legal things and the global warming that isn’t real. It would help the lottery out, because all this is a gamble anyway, and we hard working Americans have cashed in our chips to pay all the bills. I don’t know about you, typical white folks, but I am tired of paying for welfare and for every foreigner that comes into our country. The Word of God says, “you don’t work, you don’t eat.” If that blasphemous church can pay 1.6 million for a mansion to give to a foul mouth preacher, it sure as hell can be taxed. Preachers only work one day and week, and maybe a quickie mid week service, so they can get to the covered dish supper. YUM! YUM! On Sunday’s or Saturday’s they eat at every Tom, Dick and Harry’s house. Slurp, Slurp! Burp, Burp, Sleep, Sleep. How hard is that!! The disciples worked and preachers today are no better. I should say they are not as good. The disciples could teach some good stuff, we haven’t heard since, because the preachers now-a-days teach their own words, oh! excuse me, it’s ‘just words.’ Well what I’m saying isn’t just words, I mean every word of it. To me the American Dream, is work and keep my own money, thank you. I’m fed up giving it to the government to think up cockamamie ways to misappropriate funds. What’s this I hear about Obama appointing Al Gore to a very high paying position to handle global warming?? Those two need to be put on the hot seat and told a thing or two; didn’t know they were already running the country???
What the $#@*(&^% is going on $$$$$$$$$$$$ spend, spend, spend and spend some more. Let’s spend things around a bit, and quit paying taxes, and electing clowns to be President, please! Get back our voice, and have choice.
