Why Wasn’t U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow’s (D-MI) Husband Charged In Prostitution Bust?

I don’t give a rip how difficult it is for her and her family, had he not been the Senator’s husband, he’d have been charged:

Troy police had set up a stakeout at the Residence Inn after learning of suspected prostitution at a room there Feb. 25, the police report said. Officers said they saw Athans enter the room Feb. 26 and leave 15 minutes later.

They stopped Athans’ car and informed him they were investigating prostitution.

“Mr. Athans informed officers that he had just met a female at the Residence Inn, where he paid $150 for sex,” the report said. It said the woman performed oral sex on Athans.

Police did not bring any sex charges against him but later mailed him a ticket for driving with a suspended license.

I would imagine the Oakland County Prosector is weighing his option. I don’t think he wants to be seen as weak given what Kym Worthy is doing to Kwame.

Gotta believe Kwame is breathing a sigh of relief right about now.

Kwame did a happy dance I’m sure..I can see where the prosecutor would weigh his options, but the cops had a confession yet chose not to charge him, but did arrest the hooker based on his word?

A couple of random thoughts here:

    1. So-called “oral sex” is not sex; this was established by former President William J. Clinton. That would the basis for a motion to dismiss.

    2. He paid $150.00 for a BJ? That’s high even in Kalifornia! I mean, that’s what I hear…that’s what they say…you know, guys talk, you hear things…

    :))

2: I think as an explanation he may have held up a photo of Debbie and a blow up of the elephant calves and then a photo of the hooker. You know, appealed to their discretion.

And like Robert alludes to: He’s just screwing around; she’s breaking the law. That’s the sad part, though, because she has to assume all the risk and he gets to walk. Equal protection under the law?
