Great Question:Who’s Winning the Popular Vote Total?

With A Surprising Answer:

Jeralyn has a very informative post with source links to back up this:

The popular vote total is the votes cast by individuals in state primaries. Caucus votes don’t count in the popular vote total because they are counted in terms of delegates, not votes, and many states don’t count the number of people attending caucuses. More on this below.

Again, I can’t help but wonder why the MSM doesn’t tell the actual story, rather than the story they want told!

  2. Baraq Sadam Hussein Osama Obama is the chosen one for the MSM, therefore they’ll twist, spin, and if necessary, outright lie to support him.

    HE WAVED AT ME!!!

I was just watching the local 6 o’clock news when they mentioned that Sen. Obama was fundraising at the Getty mansion six blocks from my apartment.

I walked up the hill, and waited about a half hour with a bunch of other folks. He came out of the house, walked over to our side of the street for a minute, shoke hands…and waved at SFL. (!)

    sigh…

    :x

  5. San Francisco Liberal

I got a cell phone pic of him…

  6. SFL is he a human to you or a god? Sounds like you are worshipping him.

  7. Well, not surprised at this or the cockamamie story Gore has won a prize on. Any more books by him and this world won’t have global warming to worry about it will sure enough be the economy and we Americans that have to pay for this rot. Hey, we don’t need anyone else in government thinking up ways to tax the hard working Americans, that need to start running things, since you bunch of no brainer’s in the government seem to not have a clue. It’s becoming an inconvenient lie, in all directions.

I am also very concerned if Obama steels the election, that we will never hear: YANKEE DOODLE BOY ever again. LOL The name Obama, is not recognized on the computer spell check. Could this be a RED non-American flag?

LOL…no, nothing like that. Most of my “I love Obama” posts lack any Serious intent.

That said, the man sure has a long stride. He crossed the street in, like, three steps. (!)

(I’m just kind of pleased with myself because the whole thing happened so fast and worked out great. I had no idea he was in town, let alone six blocks away from my house. One minute I’m watching some Next Gen, and a short while later I’m looking at Sen. Obama face to face.)

  10. Go, Robert. Go! Lets have that Civil War again, I’m sure the South will win this time for different reasons, if you get my drift. Just a typical southern white chick. o=>

  11. OK…
A blog with lots of Anti-Obama-Comments and Posts, a Popular Vote count with the FL and MI (and even worse, the WA primary) results in it, that excludes all caucus states…

And YOU complain about someone being biased??
The table alone with Clinton on the top (she still is BEHIND in the Popular vote no matter how you try to spin it) shows the intention of this blog.

Why don´t you count just Arkansas and New York? Both states are important for the Democrats, and Clinton has better chances than Obama has to win Arkansas. So- she will do REALLY better in the General Election… The INterior States, and all the states where Obama is supposed to win and Clinton to lose… Who needs them?

  12. Ramus, I am guessing you missed all of the anti-Hillary comments as well. Did you even bother to follow the links? I think not:

Under Democratic rules, each vote isn’t tallied at caucuses. The caucuses serve only to award delegates to go to a state convention (which then elects the national delegates). The results from caucus states reflect the number of convention delegates to the state convention won by each candidate.

Here is the WA link. Not sure why you are questioning it? Could it be that there was a vast difference between the caucus tally and the primary tally?

The popular vote total is the votes cast by individuals in state primaries. Caucus votes don’t count in the popular vote total because they are counted in terms of delegates, not votes, and many states don’t count the number of people attending caucuses. More on this below.

I’m not biased…all three suck equally.

  14. Hey Carolyne, welcome. And I like your viewpoint…;;)

  15. Thanks Robert, you are perceptive, clever and funny.

I am a bit confused over the vote count deal?? Pam thanks for you help with clearer info, so I’ll study up on things for a better understanding to not sound ‘dumb and dummer.’ I’ll take Right Voices authority on the count. as I do see MSNBC & CNN is very biased. I enjoy the opportunity to say what matters most and hopefully make a difference. (*)

  16. carolyne, Talkleft, a left leaning site, is responsible for the work. I just linked to it so that I could share the info.

I feel sure about the time this election is over, I’ll have it right, NOT TTTTTTTT, sure this election can get right. It “can’t seem to have a get right day.” :)
