PinocchioBama

A Pinocchio problem? To fib . . . or is it a faulty memory?

• • To wit: Dem presidential contender Barack Obama’s handlers may be telling the press Obama has NO “recollection” of a 2004 party at influence peddler Tony Rezko’s Wilmette house, but a top Sneed source claims Obama not only gave Rezko’s guest of honor, Iraqi billionaire Nadhmi Auchi, a big welcome . . . but he made a few toasts!

• • Trial file: The name of Auchi, who was banned from the U.S. in 2005, according to court papers, surfaced at Rezko’s trial Monday. (Top Illinois businessman and Rezko pal Bill Cellini, whose name has also surfaced at the trial, was also at the Rezko party.)

• • The Quinn bin: Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn apparently is the only one with a good memory and admitted being at the Rezko party, attending late, and welcoming Auchi on behalf of the state of Illinois.

  1. Chnage we can believe in!!! 8-}

Yeah, right. Starting to look like just another lying politician to me…

  2. Here’s a chcklist for the next Populist candidate who wants to be different, to offer “Change we can believe in”:

    1. Don’t lie, even if it seems inconsequential.
    2. Don’t make up bs on the fly, even if it sounds good at the time. Your faux pas could be interpreted as a lie.
    3. Don’t try to pass yourself off as some magnanimous, post-racial-issue Prophet, when your own background is an open book and can easily put the lie to what you are trying to project.
    4. Don’t open your stupid mouth and put your foot in it with a dumb-ass remark that reveals you are just as inherently flawed as those you seek to lead.
    5. Don’t assume the majority of American voters are as stupid as the masses dwelling on the Democrite Virtual Plantation. It isn’t that easy to bs all of them.

  3. btw “Pinnochiobama” LMAO :) ) Ain’t it the truth!

    Good one, Pam!

  4. Someone should Photoshop a Pinocchio nose into an Obama pic. Like the ones done for Klinton. I don’t have a newer Photoshop or I’d do it.

  5. I’ve wanted to on the magazines in the stores, of course buy it and then write or draw what I thought on the front and put it back on the shelf. A waste of good money, and quite frankly my valuable time, I had just rather blog, and comment on first thought. You do have a good idea though, can’t do photo shop, yet! Hope to get better at my PC skills, as I want to do a blog for humane efforts with my brand new card game. Anyone want to help?? Need a partner, with brilliant ideas like on Right Voices, no kidding. You and Pam are too good! Funny, and I enjoy your humor.

  6. THIS IS TOPS TO DATE, GREAT! thanks Pam!

    just me :) )>:d<

  7. #6 Thanks, I like your persepctive. Basic Photoshopping is pretty easy, but the program (like Adobe Illustrator) is deep and it takes a lot of work imo to become a master at it.

My Photoshop 4 (PC version) won’t run on XP. So I can’t give Obama the nose he deserves…

  8. Change we can believe in!*

*Don’t look too closely or ask too many questions.

  9. carolyne- Isn’t that what Perez Hilton does? He puts all kinds of photos up that he has doctored..then the idiot turned around and sued a bunch of people Perez Hilton’s Rep Sullied by Blogger =))

  10. Robert, you really have to upgrade to CS3. Photoshop 4 has been around for about a decade.

  11. Pam – funny, it was just a passing devilish thought, however I had to quickly say, no no you can’t do that, though I wanted to for a second.

Robert = I don’t even think an upgrade would help, as I am not savvy on Photoshop.

Obama does need his Pinocchio nose, especially due to his allergy, to truth. I can see that as a caption for the picture. You should get’er done!

  12. I know my Photoshop 4 is ancient. I think it was designed to run on Win95.

Sasha, what is CS3? Haven’t heard of that one.

If I can figure out a way to modify a pic for Pinnochiobama, I will.

I seem to recall the photo of Bill Klinton with the Pinocchio nose labeled “Clinnochio”. :) )

  13. 13: Robert, it’s the lastest from Adobe. Instead of having Illustrator 11, Photoshop 7, InDesign 5, etc., they made massive updates and integrations to all their products and renamed them Creative Suite. It’s now up to the third version, but it’s easier than keeping track of all those different version numbers.
