Why yes of course! Shame on ABC for subjecting moveon’s candidate to actual debate, actual questioning—forcing him to step outside of his rhetorical mode and actually have to back up some of his statements!
Seriously, I heard part of that debate. Obama was pathetic, weak. Both candidates used lots of weasel words and phrases, and tried the typical schmoozing and pandering. But Obama came off very bad. The smoothness was gone, the populist was unmasked.
Bottom line: If you were enamored with Obama, it’s time to come back to Earth. This guy is a huge disappointment. Perhaps there will be a black candidate in the future we all can believe in, but this one is NOT the one.

The questions asked were pertinent to the man’s character. They revealed, once again, his lack of judgement.
McCarthy provides the details. Included among them:
These aren’t just “associations”; these are associates in every sense of the word

Well it is one thing to sense the evilness of Obama, it’s quite another to hear from your good reporting Pam of this matter of William Ayers. So now we know, and YES HE CAN,GO!
After his words of why he didn’t wear his American Flag lapel pin, Obama said: He didn’t want to look like he was taking sides, HELL-O. I’d like to take him aside. Also, why he didn’t like the American Anthem, was because it conveys a war-like message. What’s holding him back, he needs to just have an ‘American Flag BURNING’ at his next uppity lib meeting. Up his! We’re not BITTER, but we can be, and we can cling to our GUNS, if need be, and God is on our side, not Obama’s. Get this war-like message, Barack Hussien Obama, you are pushing America’s buttons. I think one way to solve this problem, and it is a BIG problem. Have Obama and Michelle invite Ayers to Rev. Wright’s church. Ayers likes to bomb things doesn’t he, and wished he could have done more. Well, he can bomb Wright’s church and I don’t think anyone would mind! Problem solved!
April 18, 2008 - 09:22 PM on April 18th, 2008
Honestly, the Reverend Wright thing troubles me far more than the William Ayers association. Obama met Ayers long after Ayers turned to a moderately respectable profession. He went from revolutionary to yuppie. Yes, he’s a leftist yuppie, but exactly how many college professors aren’t? He may still feel that he was unsuccessful in his endeavors as a young man, he was. While I find what he did despicable, and believe his sorry arse should be sitting in a 6 x 8 prison cell instead of in a nice house in the burbs of Chicago doesn’t matter. He’s considered a respectable member of his current community. I hate to defend Obama, but to demand that he disassociate himself from someone that he may have known for years before finding out he was a terrorist 35 yrs ago is silly. It would be like demanding that anyone seeking the presidency of the US disavow the late Itzhak Rabin. Following WWII, Rabin went around blowing up British governmental buildings in Palestine in order to force the Brits to establish a Jewish state there. The Brits eventually threw up their hands and left Palestine to the Israelis. Much to the chagrin of the Arab states that had been controlling the area and expected to gain full control once the British occupation left. There was a LOT of shenanigans going on in the middle east between the end of WWII and the founding of Israel in 1948.
I will agree that we need to discuss the issues and when it was attempted Obama showed what a moron he really is. One commentator asked that since raising the capital gains tax has always resulted in lower revenues, why raise the capital gains tax. Obama replied that the capital gains tax wasn’t about raising revenues, it was about fairness. There is NO legitimate reason for ANY tax other than to raise revenue and to say otherwise is to advocate an illegitimate tax.
I still want everyone of these idiots to answer the following question:
“Senator, please explain in detail how you would justify your stance on immigration and global warming/energy to the father of three who has just been told that, because of your immigration policies, he’s taking a 40% paycut or losing his job to a Mexican, at the same time that, because of your global warming/energy policies, all of his living expenses includng food, fuel, and clothing costs are skyrocketing.”
Seeing as that is the LOGICAL outcome of the open borders and global warming/ energy taxation policies of all three candidates, I want to hear how they intend to justify it to the hard working American citizen who is going to lose his job, his home, and his ability to feed and clothe his kids.

Why would anyone even think to bomb a church?
April 19, 2008 - 08:53 AM on April 19th, 2008
No SFL, a despicable terrorist act is a despicable terrorist act. Intentionally targeting a non military target is unacceptable. There are times when non military targets are destoyed, but not for the purpose of destroying them but rather they were either being used for a military purpose, or were simply too close to an actual military target.
April 19, 2008 - 09:34 AM on April 19th, 2008
George Soros/moveon.org has indeed invested heavily in Obama. The Obamiacs who think they have discovered populism and found change they can believe in are being suckered by someone who hates America and wants to destroy it.

I’m kind of surprised you let Carolyne’s hateful comment stand.
And FAO, what are you talking about?
April 19, 2008 - 10:51 PM on April 19th, 2008
Why would anyone want to bomb anything? Read ON and you will see - I don’t. William Ayers did, and wished to do more?? Obama is friends with this kind of guy and that church’s pastor honored Farrakhan, who are these people??? I don’t want anyone bombed, but they are setting the example it’s OK. THAT WAS MY POINT! Yes it does sound really evil doesn’t it! Evil gone to seed! However, it is treated like OH Well, that’s alright, no big deal. Just be friends with them, call them mentors, friends, uncles, no problem. This is more than a problem, this is sick! To me this is beyond belief that any of this is even being discussed or taking place in a Presidential election. It should have never even been allowed to get this far. If we have to ask those kind of questions to a candidate, that candidate should not even be running for President.
America deserves much better and so does everyone! Stop the insanity, before it’s too late.

What I am talking about SFL is the difference between an errant military bomb and a terrorist attack. You commented that conservatives would be okay with Ayers bombing Wright’s church. I was commenting on how that would be unacceptable because the church would not be a valid target even in a time of war unless it was being used as a base for military operations, like a number of mosques in Iraq have been.

Yes, I do see what all are saying and you are 100% right. But put in the way of the extremist makes you see the Big Picture of how terrible all of this is. (WE) have been shocked into thinking it’s ‘just words’ normal, OK. Of course none of us agree with that extreme radical view which is very very bad, but it is being over-looked; swept under the rug and we Americans are getting the blame for it. Hey, don’t turn the tables on Americans by calling us mean, bitter bullies, that cling to our guns and God. The enemy is working overtime in this election and has a lot of people fooled, under the trance of the Obama-nation.
They are bombing us in a way, by killing our rights, so what is the difference? Evil, either way you slice the pie.
These self-righteous folks are just getting by with it.
Very, SAD-U-SEE and it’s time the tables were turned on them. No problem, I do see what you are saying, agreed! FrmrArtyOffcr - even though that is a lot to type. Ha!
I just wanted to catch people’s attention, and sometimes it takes a few hard knocks to do so, I know you are very earnest in what you believe, and that is great! Keep up the good work. Wish everyone had that passion for America.
This is a great group and I have learned a lot reading your posts and comments. Thanks, again.

The only churh bombing that ever comes to my mind is the Sixteenth Street Baptist Church. It didn’t get hit because of the baptists inside but because of the blacks. 4 young girls lost their lives because someone didn’t like the color of their skin. I don’t agree with the message of Reverend Wright, but I don’t wish to solve the situation with a violent act. He has every right to say what he said, and Obama has every right to attend the church. We have the right to reject the message. We have a right to reject Obamas nomination, not because of the color of his skin, but because of his positions. Obama seems to lack good judgement.
April 20, 2008 - 10:26 AM on April 20th, 2008
THE GOOD PARADIGM IS GETTING BENT OUT OF SHAPE: They are talking violent acts, not us.
I certainly agree, and nothing, church or other wise should be bombed, but the ‘freedom of speech’ is getting carried too far, ‘bent out of shape.’ We typical white folks, and I dare say some good black friends of mine are afraid to come against this evil. We have to be politically correct and watch what and how we criticize a hateful church pastor, that can get away with murdering the United States of America by accusing us of giving people aids, killing innocents at the WTD Center, (all lies.) “No I won’t agree Rev. Wright has the right to say any of the ugly nasty things he said.” His position of a pastor??? should be one of moral responsibility. There comes a time to draw the line in the sand. He needs his mouth washed out with lie soap, and should have to pay taxes after that remark. He is a scourge on all Americans, black, white or otherwise. Had a white pastor said that, Lord only knows? Of course Wright conveniently retired after that with a 1.6 million home to go to. Because WHY? It’s ‘just words’, it’s normal freedom of speech, it’s OK, it’s just fine. NO IT’S NOT!
Instead Wright is being honored?? for what?? rewarded?? for what?? thirty years of condemnation and butchering the Gospel??? Yea, it’s his choice, but he should suffer the consequences of such evil damnation. He will!
I am sure Rev. Manning has Obama and Rev. Wright pegged just right. Enough said, and we have to forgive them for they know not what they do. It’s painful, and hurtful, but God’s grace is sufficient, where sin abounds. . .
GRACE MUCH MORE ABOUNDS!
They do lack good judgement but they don’t have the right to curse America and give the enemy ammunition to use against us. I do reject them 100% America has it’s faults, and I have more, but America has been too good at times to put up with this kind of politics. I’m ready to wash my hands of this, and have a brighter tomorrow. Like in ANNIE “Oh the Sun will come out tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar there’ll be Sun.” America will triumph, American Anthem and all.

Last comment, and tough titty on MoveOn.org they now don’t like ABC and are losing money?? Well we don’t like what is happening either, OK SO NOW, what else is news!!! I wouldn’t like pastor?? Wright IF he was as pure white as the driven snow. He started all this crap, so he can finish it along with Farrakhan Ayers and Obama. Good Luck!
You will need it!
