Madonna: “I don’t know what our government does period, instead of getting us in more debt and blowing up countries,”

Madonna has a new documentary out about Malawi. She was asked what the federal government could do to help. Her reply:

But the superstar doesn’t think much about enlisting aid from the U.S. government.

“I don’t know what our government does period, instead of getting us in more debt and blowing up countries,”

It might have taken the uneducated skank all of 2 minutes to do some research:

The American people provide $35 million annually in development assistance through USAID programs that improve health conditions, foster sustainable economic growth, promote the rule of law and strengthen basic education in Malawi.

USAID has provided assistance to Malawi since 1960, with total funding approximating $917 million through 2007. From 1960-1979, the USAID/Malawi program was coordinated by a regional office in Swaziland and addressed needs in education and infrastructure.

After the resident USAID Mission was established in 1979, the program expanded dramatically to include support in many other program areas. USAID/Malawi employs about 70 staff in the capital city of Lilongwe. Its employees include U.S. Foreign Service Officers as well as technical, management, and support staff recruited from Malawi, the United States, and other countries. Read the History of USAID Malawi.
USAID has a substantial program in Malawi providing about $35 million annually in development assistance. The primary goal of USAID assistance is poverty reduction and increased access to food through market-led economic growth, focusing on four areas:

1) increased incomes for rural households,
2) increased civic involvement,
3) improved health behavior and services, and
4) improved quality of primary education.

The USAID program is implemented in partnership with the Government of Malawi, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), other US government agencies, U.S. private voluntary organizations, contractors, and other partners.

In addition to development programming, USAID also provides humanitarian assistance to Malawi. The United States is the largest contributor to the World Food Program (WFP) in Malawi, providing over $100 million in food and other emergency assistance through WFP since early 2002. USAID is currently partnering with WFP to meet emergency humanitarian needs in response to the failed 2005 harvest.

And some interesting facts from the CIA

Landlocked Malawi ranks among the world’s most densely populated and least developed countries. The economy is predominately agricultural, with about 85% of the population living in rural areas. Agriculture accounts for more than one-third of GDP and 90% of export revenues. The performance of the tobacco sector is key to short-term growth as tobacco accounts for more than half of exports. The economy depends on substantial inflows of economic assistance from the IMF, the World Bank, and individual donor nations. In December 2007 the US granted Malawi eligibility status to receive financial support within the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) initiative. Malawi will now begin a consultative process to develop a five-year program before funding can begin. In 2006, Malawi was approved for relief under the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) program. The government faces many challenges, including developing a market economy, improving educational facilities, facing up to environmental problems, dealing with the rapidly growing problem of HIV/AIDS, and satisfying foreign donors that fiscal discipline is being tightened. In 2005, President MUTHARIKA championed an anticorruption campaign. Since 2005 President MUTHARIKA’S government has exhibited improved financial discipline under the guidance of Finance Minister Goodall GONDWE and signed a three year Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility worth $56 million with the IMF. Improved relations with the IMF lead other international donors to resume aid as well.

That’s what our government does!

Very true. That’s probably longer than her attention span.

  3. Our goverment provides laws and police to enforce them, which in turn prevents sensible people from taking this two-bit whore and slut and hanging her from the nearest tree!!

Since we can’t do that, lets just fly her to Iran, drop her skank ass out there, take her ID’s and passport and let her enjoy laif with the wacko’s, see if the good old USA still sounds bad to her.

  4. Hey can we drop off BH Obama & the Mrs.(Michelle) and that infidel Wright with Madonna, and let them have a whoring good time until they cut their heads off. I’m sure it would get their attention, for a few minutes . . . “saying to themselves maybe we should have kept our damn mouth shut.”
