Obama On Wright: “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community,” Oh Screw That “I’m outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle. The person that I saw yesterday was not the person I met 20 years ago.”

March 2008: “I can no more disown him than I can disown the black community,” Obama said. “I can no more disown him than I can my white grandmother — a woman who helped raise me, a woman who sacrificed again and again for me, a woman who loves me as much as she loves anything in this world, but a woman who once confessed her fear of black men who passed by her on the street, and who on more than one occasion has uttered racial or ethnic stereotypes that made me cringe.”

April 2008: “I’m outraged by the comments that were made and saddened by the spectacle. The person that I saw yesterday was not the person I met 20 years ago. His comments were not only divisive and destructive, but they end up giving comfort to those who prey on hate. I believe they do not accurately portray the perspective of the black church. They certainly don’t portray mine. If he considers this political posturing, then he doesn’t know me very well. And I don’t know him well either.”

Allahpundit has the video

I guess when the comments offended him when it began to hurt his campaign! Rich Lowry seems to think that the campaign got some not so welcome numbers. Jon Ham will explain Why Obama threw Rev. Wright under the bus today

What will Wright do next?

Sounds to me like Obama is finally throwing Wright under the bus. I would love to have heard the conversation with his advisers that convinced him to do it!

So what will this do to Wright? It might encourage him to become even more flamboyant, more outrageous!

    This could be really fun…

My kind of fun. Looks like the straight talk express just lost it’s load. The wheels are off and it’s turned over in the middle of the road.
Obama “can’t seem to get a get right day!”

Loved all your comments! Great Post Pam!:)
