Obama Has A Plan To Tax The Oil Companies..You Will Pay For That Tax

By: Pam On: May/2/08 - 17 Comments

Obama May Levy $15 Billion Tax on Oil Company Profit

The plan would target profit from the biggest oil companies by taxing each barrel of oil costing more than $80, according to a fact sheet on the proposal. The tax would help pay for a $1,000 tax cut for working families, an expansion of the earned- income tax credit and assistance for people who can’t afford their energy bills.

As with every tax, someone pays for it, and it won’t be the company.. Why not cut the funding to Planned Parenthood? $336.7 million in taxpayer funds which added to their profit of $114.8 million and increased its total assets to $1.12 billion.

Taxation without representation caused the American revolution. Taxation to the point of starvation lead to the French one. These twits are heading this country towards a combination of the two.

    Good point snowey egret:

Better still lets fire those lousy Democrats and the Republicans that are making too much money which are worthless morons as far as what they really accomplish for America. It’s obscene what they get by with and allow others to get by with. If any of us did our job in the fashion they do, not being present to vote and being ridiculous like Pelosi, etc, etc, etc.
Just how long do you think we would have a job??? :-w

Can we get Donald Trump to run for President???

We’ll let you take charge Ted. How can I help? Do you have a petition going? Something concrete?

  9. TedintheShed

    Myopic sarcasms aside, everyday Bon-Bon.

Petitions nowadays are worthless. Everytime you go to some impotent site and “e-sign” a petition it means jack.

Substantial change (not what Obamatons parrots, not what Republicans) has to begin on a grass roots level. This means folks must challenge their own beleifs. My part of this movement is challenging those who belief systems fall into categories that support the wholesale corrutpion of our governemet, which means if you support either of the two major parties. If I can spur just a few folks to be truly introspective and change these horrible habits of supporting corruption, then it is worth it. Hopefully, they can do the the same for other folks.

I have influenced quite a few folks locally, as I take place in political discussions. The search is one for an earnest person outside of the two parties that we can support in local government.

I know you folks are probably tired of me being in your face all the time, pointing out the falacies of supporting your party and their corrupt leaders and the damage it does to America. But what you don’t understand is that this isn’t disenfranchisement, nor is it non-participation (even if I am not going to vote). It is standing up and saying “Enough is enough already!”. This isn’t about politics and policies, it is looking way past that.

An example: I live in Ohio. The Republicans that were here over the past 4 years where whole sale corrupt. The manipulated money and scammed the voters out of millions. Do the voters voted in Dems, and know there is a huge sexual harrassment scam going on. The point is that voting in one party over the other no longer offers a solution, it only exasperates the problems. So whay vote them in?

Folks, your parties are killing America- why support that?

I know what you are saying Ted. There are lots of changes to be made in both parties but you can’t just fire them all. It would leave us in complete anarchy.

Better to work locally and statewide for changes and if you really want to get into start a letter writing campaign. I have written many letters to politicians at both the state and national level. It feels like nothings being done but I won’t stop.

Ohio might have corrupt republicans but I can assure you that Maryland has corrupt democrats.

Have you read Newt Gingrich book “Real Change?” I’m currently in the middle of it and it’s eye opening. While I’ve never claimed to know it all there are things I’m reading that are making me cringe.

“I know what you are saying Ted. There are lots of changes to be made in both parties but you can’t just fire them all. It would leave us in complete anarchy.”

Honestly, I see very little difference Bon-Bon. it’s just a different kind of anarchy, that’s all.

“Better to work locally and statewide for changes and if you really want to get into start a letter writing campaign. I have written many letters to politicians at both the state and national level. It feels like nothings being done but I won’t stop.”

Yeah- I’m there already and have been for a long while. When I refer to whole salecorruption, it is usually on the national level. State politics are there too, not so much on a local level though.

“Ohio might have corrupt republicans but I can assure you that Maryland has corrupt democrats.”

The point was that there were corrupt Republicans, they were voted out and now there are corrupt Dems running the state. If we were to voting in Republicans again, it would be just repeating the same cycle (which to me is the very definition of stupid).

“Have you read Newt Gingrich book “Real Change?”I’m currently in the middle of it and it’s eye opening. While I’ve never claimed to know it all there are things I’m reading that are making me cringe.”

Not yet. I want to read it though and the Dick Morris book. barely hve time to read anymore, was lucky to get on the Marcus Lutrell book.

9-Really those petitions mean nothing? Maybe it is just that you don’t take the time to follow through and see what happened to them.

You aren’t in anyone’s face, you just aren’t worth paying attention to.

“You aren’t in anyone’s face, you just aren’t worth paying attention to.”

Of course the fact that you responded to my post mirrors that you truly feel differently than indicated. After all, if I am not worth paying attention to, you would not have post such a meaningful response to begin with!

Certainly it is small statement. I would hope it is not an indicator of the person who made it though. I generally have more respect for you than that Pam no matter how misaligned I feel your support for the corrupt Social-ists-Repubicans are.

Did I miss something?? I’m sorry! Cool idea, fire them all, but as you said it won’t work. We are in a pickle, and just got to keep going and trying to untangle this tangled up mess. Not easy, but then again it’s not impossible, if we all stay persistent and insistent. Don’t take NO NO NO for an answer if we know it is the right thing to do, or undo. Okay so NOW! :)>- Walking in Love would be a good start and I miss that at times myself. o:-)

Hmmm, why can’t we get the terrorists to do us a favor for once. I wonder how hard it would be to convince them to NUKE DC on January 21st? With all of the politicians in town for inauguration and to take their oathes, a well timed Nuke attack could effectively eliminate most of the dead wood in the federal government in one fell swoop. It would also rid that cesspool of all of the criminal gangs an lobbyists as well. And with DC’s location the fallout would be swept mostly out over the ocean where it would be too diluted by sea water to cause any real damage.

Robert: Last sentence & what it meant! Not short but sweet:

I’ve noticed you and Pam try to report what is much needed as loving and accurately as you can, so I commend you all for this. If every one worked that hard in getting to the truth maybe we would not have gotten in this mess. Love tells the truth that sets us free. Good example for us all, and I thank you. In other words, including myself, walk the talk. That’s a win/win. Others leaving comments have been funny, and inspiring as well. Bon Bon, snowy egret, etc. With all the humorous sarcasm (which I love and gets your attention) you have told the truth in a clear precise way. You don’t let anyone get by with error. I wanted to say that because some may not see that is your soul purpose. So no one gets upset when you stick to the facts, in a very unique laughable way, Tough Love! :x
