Democrat Idea of a War Hero
Kerry Lying to Congress: Backed by applauding fools. The only rational-appearing people look disgusted.
Yet one more reason why Baraq Hussein Obama is unfit to serve as President and CIC is because he has no grasp, no understanding, not even a clue about the Armed Forces, how they operate, or what motivates them. If anything, what motivates them is the antithesis of the modern DemokRat Party’s philosophy.
I dug the above photograph out of the archives. It is the DemokRat idea of a real war hero. He has all the genuine qualities that make one so endearing to the Left:
1. By many accounts served mainly or only to enhance his political resume.
2. Got out early by serial Purple Hearts of very dubious validity.
3. Grandstanded before Congress, lying about and backstabbling his fellow Veterans and undermining America during time of war.
4. Teamed up with known traitor and anti-American propagandist Dan Blather to provide propaganda to the America-haters in Europe and to the enemy. Helped motivate the enemy to keep on fighting, thereby ensuring more Americans and Vietnamese would die.
5. Turned much of the ignorant public against the Vets, making their return home painful and in some cases destroying their lives.
6. Did his lying and propagandizing against America while still an officer in the Navy Reserve. In the above pic, he is wearing the uniform, but is clearly not in compliance with regulations. Should have been thrown in the brig right then.
Contrast this DemokRat war hero with John McCain, who despite some of his bad policy positions, is 180 degrees the opposite of a John Kerry.
And there, in a nutshell, you have one anecdotal example of the difference between the DemokRats and the Republicans. Bad as the Republicans have been, they would have to turn America over to Hugo Chavez or Bin Laden to top what the DemokRats would do if left unchecked.

I don’t know, Robert…at least Kerry actually SERVED in Vietnam, unlike our current retard-in-chief, Dubya Bush.

Agreed, but like you said Right is Right, I’m flexible and really more for the person not any party. That was a sign I saw, and thought it was cool. I will admit when I’m wrong, actually I was wrong once, but found out later I wasn’t wrong, LOL! Just being silly like the argument going on over President Bush’s speech in Israel and I am glad he got under Obama’s skin. Now would it have made him mad, if there wasn’t a problem with his not so bright idea of talking with the enemy? Obama just wants all the glory, and he wants to be covert with his plans. Sorry it doesn’t work that way, buster Obama. All this is going to catch up to him and he will having to kiss @$$ and eat his ‘just words.’ Glad McCain stood up to Obama’s wrong doctrine on all counts. Just let him go on over to Iran, that should rid us of him real quick. Iran is nobody’s friend, and would have killed Carter but he wasn’t worth it, too old, with no power. Carter was a laughing stock and no fool like an old fool.

SFL as BonBon pointed out Kerry’s brief (4 months) Vietnam service was political resume-building.
carolyne #3 interesting you mention the First Infantry Division. The “Big Red One” of Fort Riley, Kansas (home of the U.S. Cavalry) was where I went through Army boot camp and Infantry School in 1976. I have fond memories of that place. Hotter than hell in the summer and colder than a well digger’s butt in the winter.

I find it funny that the left demonizes President Bush for joining the Air National Guard as a fighter pilot (a dangerous position) as being a draft dodger, but deifies Bill Clinton as a hero for running from his commitment by going to England and Russia (two foreign countries, one of which was considered hostile) and protesting the war. A very safe thing to do. It just goes to show how back assward the libs are.
