I wish you all a safe and happy Memorial Day. Our family is blessed that my nephew will be able to join us this weekend for a family celebration. He has a four day leave from Camp Pendleton, so we are excited that he chosen to come home!
As we rejoice in a long weekend, let us not forget the true meaning of what the holiday is all about.
I hope more Americans will remember on Memorial Day what it really is all about; not just a day off from work to go shopping.
Each and every one of the Americans who have died to protect America has done more for this Country than any Pacifist.
Last weekend we installed a 20′ flagpole (my Father’s Day gift in advance) so starting today we are proudly flying the American flag plus the U.S. Army flag.
Pam, have a nice weekend with your family.
Robert, enjoy the flagpole, and thank you for your service in the Army.
I don’t always agree on this blog, but we all cherish the freedoms we have and know that it sometimes takes a fight to keep them. As Franklin once said, “those that will give up liberty for safety deserve neither.”
David
Thanks David. You have a wonderful weekend! Be safe.
A message to all our troops: You are my heros. God Bless.

Thank you David. If everybody agreed all the time there would be little to talk about, and it would get boring pretty fast.
Pam tell your nephew “Huah!” for me. The other day my sons and I were at Taco Bell. There was a Marine in uniform there. We expressed our appreciation.
BonBon have a great weekend and I know you haven’t forgotten what Memorial Day is all about.
If I had my digicam here I’d take a picture of our new 20′ white flagpole proudly flying the flags and post it.
SFL remembering those who fought and died for all of us…
Same to all of you, Happy Memorial day! Like Robert said: can’t always agree but can at times change our minds and this is good. Don’t think any of us would be on this site if we didn’t want to learn something and say what we thought was very important. Right Voices to make Right Turns in Life.
SFL I know you sincerely mean that, and will honor and remember your friend. I respect you for that.
Happy memorial day.
