No Nation in the history of the planet has done more for others than has the United States. It isn’t perfect; no human institution is. But just try to name a better country! Historically, the victor in war either slaughtered the enemy, or at least annexed their land. Or more recently, forced the vanquished to pay Draconian reparations. At the end of WWII, the United States generously rebuilt its former enemies. Reordered their Gov’t and gave them Democracy and their Freedom. Then embraced them as friends. Name a better country!
Liberating 25 million Iraqis from an evil tyrant, asking nothing in return except for the new Iraq to prosper in freedom and Democracy. Liberating Afghanistan from the horrific repression of the Taliban, again asking nothing in return except for the people to value and maintain their Freedom. Name a better country!
Yet to the demented minds of the hardcore Leftists shown above, somehow that’s bad; in fact to them the U.S. is worse than Islamic terrorism, Communist tyranny, or any other terrorist evil in the world. In the above photo the creature on the Left looks like she lives on a Gov’t check. SSI, likely, paid for by the taxes of working people who are actually contributing something useful to society. The one on the right looks like she is out on furlough from a mental institution. From the message they are displaying, it is obvious they are both terminally mentally ill.
How utterly disgraceful these vermin are. I thought about that on Memorial day; how some people that do not appreciate the privilege of being in America arguably do not deserve the Freedom paid for with the blood of better Americans. Yes, we have Freedom of speech and expression, an empirical part of what is America. But I wonder how many Veterans would agree with me that we didn’t serve so these vermin could insult America, abuse America. That sign they are carrying is deeply offensive to me. If either of them is getting a check from the taxpayers, I would support cutting it off. If either is not a citizen, deport immediately. And if they don’t like it, ship them off to the Taliban so they can see what life under the Taliban is like, especially for women. See just how they like it and if they’d carry that sign after a year or so under the Taliban. I’d wager that even hardcore mentally-ill freakazoids like these would have at least a measurable appreciation for America, instead of contempt.

First of all GREAT POST Robert and coming on the heels of a weekend spent with in laws that are part of that hardcore left I can vouch that they see only the worst. We were at a high school graduation yesterday where the speaker used his platform to put down the U.S. and it’s aggression in Iraq and supported the muslim guy who is running for president of our great country.
I couldn’t help but feel very offended that this speech came on the heels of Memorial Day and I was thinking of Davids question in another post about giving 5 reasons.
David. This is why you see us challenging liberals. There are those of us who know our history well enough to understand how great and noble this country is. I personally want to thank you for being on this site and keeping an open mind. Stay tuned as Pam and Robert always find the good stuff and I might add things that you won’t always see on the msm.

I like that each of them can come here and make a conversation more interesting. I especially like how David tends to analyze both sides of an issue..If I had to categorize them, David seems to be a moderate Dem, but not a liberal by my defintion. SFL tends to go far left, then out of the clear blue, he throws a curve ball at us!
He keeps us guessing and that’s what I love about him.
I honor Memorial Day, America, and those who contribute positively to America, in whatever way or venue they do so.

The sad irony of this photo, is that just this last Monday, Memorial Day we paused to honor all the brave men and women who gave their lives so America can be free. That freedom is what allows misguided characters like those in the picture to be free to make jackasses of themselves. While we honored the memory of those American heros who gave all, these extreme leftist probably paused to honor those who killed those same Americans.

Regardless of who is bigger, we could still destroy just about everything there is on this planet.
And, just like I said, that’s sure to make some people just a little more than nervous…
The fact remains that the world does have nuclear power therefore we have to be vigilant. The U.S. has not used it’s power since WWII and after we did use it we spent millions rebuilding Japan. The world recognized that.
I think the fact that nuclear weapons are out there is one reason alone that justifies civilized democracies working to bring freedoms to less fortunate and oppressed countries. And the United Nations is certainly not going to do it.

And regarding my original point, there are tens of millions if not billions of humans who are “terrorized” (admitedly, muuuch less so than in previous decades) by the thought of Nuclear Annihilation by the US – however unlikly because of our “good nature”.
And if that can be accepted, than it can be argued that technically the US could be considered the worlds “biggest” terrorist, as it potentially “threatens” a larger amount of people than some jackass with a bomb could ever dream of.

Nonsense. A terrorist is someone who goes out and performs terrorist acts. Not one who could potentially threaten. And even if a “terrorist” threatened someone, if they didn’t follow through and achieve credibility, they would soon have no credibility and no longer be a terrorist.
I chronicled the ways America has been generous and benevolent to even its former enemies. Action speak louder than words and promises. Again, name another Nation in history that has done that.
So how again is America a terrorist? How can in any way can that case be made? I don’t believe it can, and those whackjobs in the photo are just that—whackjobs.
