My point, SFL, which has gone right over your head, is that a rising population guarantees our fuel consumption will go up, despite conservation efforts.

You’re right SFL! Just use less fuel! How utterly simple and elegant! WHY didn’t WE think of that?

Starting tomorrow, you people stop going to work. You can take the bus or light rail to the store to shop; anything you can’t carry in a little two-wheeled cart you don’t need anyway.

If you can’t take public transportation, then quit your job, or just don’t do it. Your welfare checks will be mailed to you.

This will do it!

Oh, wait…SFL, there’s just a little problem. The population is growing fast, a lot of it from illegal immigration and oversized Muslim and Hispanic families. Uh, oh! That means MORE fuel usage! Oh NO, Mr. BIll!
