Rip van Obama…Are You Buying It?
One of Two Possible Explanations for Obama’s Lack of Perception
For 20 years Obama sat in that “church” listening to his spiritual mentor “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright. Yet he heard nothing, saw nothing unusual until someone showed him the now-infamous “KKK of USA” video tapes. When asked about it, his response essentially was Who, What, Huh?
For years he has been a friend and associate of known Weathermen terrorists Ayers and Dhorn, who managed to escape justice through a technicality and to this day are not only unrepentant, but instead regret only that they didn’t do more against America. Any comment, Senator Obama? Who? What? Huh?
It is now well known how Obama steered money, your tax dollars, to his cronies including his wife’s employer, and how she subsequently got a $150,000 per year raise. The dealings with Chicago criminal Tony Rezko have come to light. What does Obama say? Oh, he didn’t know anything about any of that! Who? What? Huh?
There are only two possible explanations I can come up with for these three highly improbable positions:
Door Number 1: Obama is an established liar and manipulator. Despite being a relative neophyte to politics and having almost no legislative experience and having contributed nothing useful as a Senator, he certainly has come up to speed, even beyond his years in the arena of corruption and manipulation. He parlayed the “church” membership into support to get him elected to the Illinois Legislature. Never mind the racism and hate for America spewed from the pulpit; and it is hard to believe anyone could hang in there that long if at least some of that message didn’t resonate. Ayers and Dhorn hated America, still do, and Obama steeped in the background of Leftism apparently has no problem with that message either, another message that must resonate. The Rezko dealings and apparently quid pro quo earmarks are classic corruption. Regarding the content of his character Obama has little or none. He is an empty suit, a false prophet for the gullible.
Door Number 2: Rip Van Obama has been asleep for 20 years! There’s plenty of evidence to show he’s been asleep! He never even voted much of the time in the Senate! This explains everything!

Yawn…boring, old news that nobody cares about anymore.
That’s the advantage of the long primary fight…all this has been aired and we all know that America has a very short attention span.
Obama WILL defeat McCain and the Dems will gain more seats in Congress.

It does seem like some people’s attention span is short, due to having a child like brain that did not develop properly. This of course is bor-r-ring to them because they ARE bor-r-ring Yawn. Obama not only was asleep for two decades – he seems to dream nothing but pipe dreams of his Muslim father?? You know, I would have never told that garbage if I were him. I guess Obama was trying to impress his ungrateful wife so she could be proud of something. The only impression Obama is able to make is being a royal screw up and it seems he has plenty of company!!!
Not to mention any names of course!

It’s irrelevant.
The man, becoming president with a solid democratic majority, will enact some serious changes.
And change is what the people want – they want cheaper health care, better education, clean air and water, and end to gridlock in washington (ie – republicans get out of the way like back in the roosevelt years), etc.
The status quo is unacceptable to voters at this point in time. This is one of those moments where everything changes and speeds up. People can feel it with Obama…

So you don’t care this man has very serious character flaws…his world is one of corruption, racists, and terrorists…just that he’ll cause change, a lot of change.
You know, if Satan went into the White House, there could be lots of change. But then again that image probably wouldn’t bother the Left much, as many or most DemoKrat leaders and much of the Left has already sold their souls to the Devil.

You know SFL nobody that I have seen posting here thinks their candidate is perfect. Those who advocate for McCain acknowledge his flaws and weaknesses. You are the only one who has this blind faith, this unblemished confidence that Obama will do good, will do what you want. Never mind his demonstrated lack of character, judgment, experience, and ethics. You’re betting on what he says, the image he projects, instead of the reality and substance of what he has revealed through his actions.
I think you are thinking the way Hippies did in the 60s. “Bring it all down, man!” You want change, radical change, and even if it means electing an opportunist and an empty-suit phony, you’ll ignore all that and cheer him on. Change, any change even if it is destructive, is what you want.
I almost forgot; you don’t see it as destructive. Things like letting hordes of illegals flood into America and turn it into the image of where they came from; that’s okay with you. America turned into a 3rd world country, that must be okay with you too. You want “free” healthcare? Have you ever thought what that “free” healthcare will be like? Look at the British and Canadian models and the answer is there. Now I have talked about where to start reforming healthcare, and step #1 is to get the lawyers and the frauders out of it. But that will never happen, especially under DemoRat Tyranny, because the trial lawyers own the DemoRat party and the frauders and grifters are an important constituency on the DemokRat virtual plantation.
So when you are ill and can’t even get an appointment to diagnose it because you are on a waiting list, just remember this discussion: I told you so.

Here’s something for the Obamaites to think about. Which do you think parents would rather have? Low availability poor quality low cost health care or food to feed their kids? A $200 a week unemployment check or a $50k+ per year job making SUVs? No discernible difference in air quality or affordable electricity? Taxed into poverty or the status quo? Those are the choices that everyone outside of the liberal bastions of idiots around the east and left coasts are looking at. They are looking at how his idiotic tax schemes will destroy their way of life. EVEN Sherrod Brown and Jay Rockefeller spoke out against the Warner-Lieberman cap and trade bs bill because they could see how it was going to cost millions of Americans their jobs. Yes, Obama may win the election and have a majority in the House and Senate, but any change they may bring about will be far worse than any good they might accomplish. As I have said many times, I remember the failed policies of the Carter administration, apparently I have a longer memory than the Democrat party because they have dug out the old policy manual and dusted it off claiming it’s the way to a more prosperous future. It was a miserable failure then, with more people and a higher standard of living now, it will be even worse now. One definition of insanity is doing the same repeatedly expecting different results. Under that definition, voting for liberal democrats is insane.
