The Stars and Stripes Flying Proudly In the Morning Breeze
Above is a picture of my Father’s Day present. I’ve had flags before, usually on metal brackets attached to the side of the house. But never one like this. It is pleasantly breezy here these days and often while I am outside I hear the flag as the wind catches it. I look up to see it as above, and I feel a groundswell of pride and thanks. Proud of what America has done for so many, proud of what America is to the world (despite the critics), proud to be contributing, proud to be a good American. And I thank God for having the good fortune to be born in America instead of some 3rd world hellhole. Just being born in America, with the unparalleled opportunities here, is a great gift to be recognized and appreciated throughout our lives. I challenge the big mouths, the whiners with a chip on their shoulders who have “never been proud of America” and others who don’t seem to appreciate America to go find a better Country. Go move to Socialist Europe, Asia, Africa, Crapistan, wherever. Live there for a year then try to tell us you don’t want to come back.
This flag flies proudly over free territory, a place in California where the majority of residents still have common sense, can think for themselves, and do the right thing instead of being trendy or doing what the Media tells them to do. That’s why I chose to live here. Farenheit 9/11 and An Inconvenient Truth didn’t stay long in the theaters here. The Boll Weevils keep trying relentlessly to get a foothold here, but so far we’ve held them off. The price of Liberty indeed is eternal vigilance!

But if the socialistic party wins the whitehouse and both houses, how long bewfore the flag is burnt, and replaced with one of the three they fondly embrace, the hammer and sickle, the star and crescent moon or the swastika? All three the flags of all encompassing, big all powerful, people taxing government. OO now watch the Leftist rant.
Robert,
Happy Father’s Day and enjoy the flag in good health. It is indeed the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.

Wonderful, wonderful flag Robert. I hope you had a great Father’s Day.
I love watching our flag flap in the wind wherever I see one. **==**==**==
Thanks NY-D and I know as a Veteran you understand. Hi BonBon and thanks for your comments.
Nothing human is perfect, and America has had its faults. But I challenge any and all critics: Name a better Country!
No one came name a better country…
Let freedom ring…
NYD
To all of you, the very best and yes America is land of the free, home of the brave heart!
Don’t we all wish everyone thought that way. No Worries!
Great Post Robert!
BonBon I hope you had a good weekend too.
carolyne as much as we complain from time to time about politics, or whatever, it still is the best place.
