UPDATED:So Much For Free Speech: Google Shuts Down Anti-Obama Sites on its Blogger Platform UPDATE: Google Redux: Amer. Spectator ‘Site May Harm Your Computer’

Warner Todd Huston has the story about Google shutting down any blog on the Google owned Blogspot.com blogging system that has an anti-Obama message.   Take a look at the Philosophy of Google:

“The perfect search engine,” says Google co-founder Larry Page, “would understand exactly what you mean and give back exactly what you want.” Given the state of search technology today, that’s a far-reaching vision requiring research, development and innovation to realize. Google is committed to blazing that trail. Though acknowledged as the world’s leading search technology company, Google’s goal is to provide a much higher level of service to all those who seek information, whether they’re at a desk in Boston, driving through Bonn, or strolling in Bangkok.

4. Democracy on the web works.(Unless you don’t like Obama)

Google works because it relies on the millions of individuals posting websites to determine which other sites offer content of value. Instead of relying on a group of editors or solely on the frequency with which certain terms appear, Google ranks every web page using a breakthrough technique called PageRankâ„¢. PageRank evaluates all of the sites linking to a web page and assigns them a value, based in part on the sites linking to them. By analyzing the full structure of the web, Google is able to determine which sites have been “voted” the best sources of information by those most interested in the information they offer. This technique actually improves as the web gets bigger, as each new site is another point of information and another vote to be counted.
7. There’s always more information out there.

Once Google had indexed more of the HTML pages on the Internet than any other search service, our engineers turned their attention to information that was not as readily accessible. Sometimes it was just a matter of integrating new databases, such as adding a phone number and address lookup and a business directory. Other efforts required a bit more creativity, like adding the ability to search billions of images and a way to view pages that were originally created as PDF files. The popularity of PDF results led us to expand the list of file types searched to include documents produced in a dozen formats such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. For wireless users, Google developed a unique way to translate HTML formatted files into a format that could be read by mobile devices. The list is not likely to end there as Google’s researchers continue looking into ways to bring all the world’s information to users seeking answers.

What a crock. Just another hypocrite in the over all scheme of things.
What if, Obama looked Arab due to the fact that is what he is, and not Black, do you think he would have been elected?? HELL NO! If Obama should, but he won’t, travel to Iraq and Iran until after the election because he doesn’t want all the Americans to see the Iraque’s and Iranian’s fall down and worship him, kiss his feet and anoint him with oil. In due season, this will occur. Now back to Google, the enemy. Piss ants!
Look up PUMA (party unity my ass) and Democrats Against Obama. Cool! These are angry women, among other things, Hell hath no furry than a woman scorned. Good Reading!
Well Google can’t stop us or these women, look out boys! What’s up with this? s#!$? :-w

Actually, Huston updated his post to state that the fault is, in fact, not Google’s at all, but rather Obama supporters who manipulated the anti-spam feature to “trick” Google into temporarily freezing those sites.

But does any of this even matter? Those Obama hacktivists may have temporarily tricked Google into shutting down seven anti-Obama blogs, but in response, as demonstrated by Newsbusters, conservative bloggers have been flooding cyberspace with a torrent of reporting and their own opinions on the story. In the end, who has really won the day?

He updated his post to show how it could have happened, but the fact remains that Google allowed this to happen. This is the largest search engine on the web. Again, review the philosophy of Google and tell me how they allowed this to happen.

Obama has not been forthright in telling Americans who he is, who he has been associated with, or what he will do if elected. If the media had done its job in vetting Obama from the beginning … and if 18 months ago Americans knew what they know today about Obama, he would never have made it this far. I would be willing to bet that there are still volumes that we don’t know about Obama, and even more Obama is not telling us about what he would do once elected. We also don’t know where much of his 600 million dollars in campaign contributions came from … possibly foreign nationals. Obama’s donations are literally enabling him to buy the Presidency of the United States. And then there’s Acorn, and voter fraud, which all seems to be favoring Obama. A socialistic agenda will ruin America … whose 200+ year capitalistic ideology has made us the country where everyone wants to live … even at risk of life and limb! It’s pretty obvious that McCain loves America, not just in words, but in deeds that cost him dearly. I don’t mind some changes, but changing our entire free enterprise system for socialism is NOT change I can believe in. I don’t trust Obama. I think he will say or do anything to get elected. These are just some of the reasons I’m voting for McCain/Palin on November 4th.
