I was amazed she was so out of touch. David, you should take the time to research the voting records of both parties for the last 30 years and you will find that it's been the dems who have consistently held back legislation and votes for energy independence. The republicans are culpable insofar as they just let it pass without a fight. At least there is a group (partisan) left that stayed behind to try to help us and do their job. It's a start. The energy crisis will be here when you get back off your Lear Jets. Perhaps they might think of a more creative solution then, "We should drill more". Not that the Democrats have been all that awe-inspiring as well. They are just looking for a long term solution rather then a quick fix so the rest of us can get back to business as usual.
