No, and I wonder why she is so venerated and celebrated by the Left. The only time you ever see her is when she is persisting in using her position in the White House Press Corps to make some rhetorical statement in the form of a “question” that is usually absurd.

Helen Thomas reminds me of my 4th grade substitute that had obviously ran out of denture adheisive. She always asked our class challanging questions that even she did not know the answers to. Even if she suddenly was cured and went right of center politically; I still think she looks like “Uncle Fester” with hair. Let the Left respect her.

Helen Thomas is an icon and her greatness is firmly established as a legend among Reporters and Journalists. The greatest words ever uttered in the history of the press, “Thank You, Mr. President” are hers. Of course the right wingers hate her because she asks the hard-hitting questions no others, even self-proclaimed Progressives have the guts to ask. She humiliated Scott McClellan. Make Reagan look foolish. She puts them in their place every time.

Yes, she is so far above the average journalist she is like Al Gore, a giant among other intellectuals. She should be getting a Nobel prize!

Her style should be taught in every journalism school. Demonstrated proficiency in and dedication to her style, plus complete agreement with her ideals, should be required of every Journalism graduate.

“…like Al Gore, a giant among other intellectuals.”

LOL! You mean instead “a fraud amongst idiots” don’t you? But yeah, maybe Helen Thomas should get a Nobel Prize too. If Gore can get one, just about anyone is in the running.

Robert, YOU KNOW “Democratic Activist” is a fake poster.

I have to admit that I’m guessing it’s probably you, my old friend.

Does that count as playing with one’s own self?

    Just asking…

I scarcely have time these days to do my own posts, let alone anything else.

You’ve been pretty scarce around here lately too. I recall you were taking some college classes. How’s that going?

On summer break now, but have been all over the place lately.

Just got back from a two week long trip back to the midwest; Wisconsin, Indiana and Michigan. Weddings.

The wife and I go backpacking just about every other weekend, the last trip up on the Lost Coast. Ever get up there? Really nice…

During the weekdays this summer, I’ve been working long hours as a house painter. Gave up working in Insurance when I decided to go back to school to teach.

Despite the race heating up, ol SFL hasn’t been as politicaly engaged as one would expect. Little time on the computer. Once school starts in a week, I’ll be in the library more and will probably be checking in here a bit more often.

Hope you and everyone has had a great summer…too bad it’s almost over!

That explains it! The Lost Coast, as I recall, is the area of the coast in southern Humboldt County. We went to Shelter Cove for a weekend last summer and they talk a lot there about the Lost Coast. Very beautiful country there, you have the Redwoods, the coast, a lot to see and do.

Painting…ugh…I’ve never been a good painter. That’s a lot of work.

You being out of politics for some time perhaps may explain some of Obama’s drop in the polls. He needs you! :d

The summer has gone too fast. They always have. We’ll be looking for more input from you on RV once school starts and you get more PC time.
