Aside from the Obama/McCain comments, Lisa makes a greater point that should be noted and discussed:
Here in New York City, as is well known, our officials never prosecute illegal aliens. Nor do they prosecute ” or even discourage ” people running veritable businesses selling stuff on the sidewalks. Much of that stuff, of course, is counterfeit designer items from China, as well as goods like socks and scarves. There are also dozens of unlicensed fruit and vegetable stands. This above ground underground economy pays no taxes, and they often compete with and undersell local stores ” which seems unfair. Not to mention that they clutter busy streets. You would think a pro-business administration, like Michael Bloomberg’s, would not tolerate that. And you would be wrong.
How many licensed businesses failed due to the competition from the illegal vendors? How much tax revenue is going uncollected? If NYC is a sanctuary city, why do the illegals not have business licenses?
This whole topic is xenophobic on the outside and racist on the inside! Undocumented workers are needed in our economy everyone knows this! In fact mayors of sanctuary cities have publicly stated our economy depends on these workers! They just want to come here to work. They pay like ten times more in taxes than they get. Whats so bad about that?
The answer is nothing. They are here to stay and you cant round up millions of people anyway. Are you afraid of brown skin people? We have already seen cases of children coming home from school only to find their parents deported! How can you people live with the knowledge that is what you are doing?
Open the borders! Welcome all people! One world, one people! This is the dream of the Democratic leadership!

Her are the cold hard facts. The people that are sneaking into this country are “milking it dry”. The men in many cases collect cash “under the table” { no taxes} Their girlfriends in many cases collect welfare, and their kids that they rarely watch end up in trouble with the law. The Los Angeles County correctional system has a very high percentage of illegal aliens in their jails and prisons and the taxpayers foot that bill as well. As far as them doing the jobs that American won’t do, I say bull—-. I did them and so did every other 100% USDA grade American citizen. On top of that, you have to have a translater with you just to order your food. We did not have the problems that we are having now. Take a look around; balled up baby diapers in the streets, graffity, gangs in our schools with guns and knives,ect. I could go on and on. I’ll tell you what you left wing liberal clown, if you can prove me wrong on any one of these statements, then I will personally locate Janet Reno and lick her armpits,{providing she lets me} So go ahead and pull your dirty “tie-dyed” T-shirt out of the laundry basket, slip on your filty worn out sandals, pony up your hair, power up your “Dell” and give it your all you misguided twit.
If I hear one more idiot babble about how the illegals add net value I just might explode. That $1 head of lettuce that is cheap because it is harvested by illegals really costs more like $5 when you add the real costs: the Gov’t bennies, crime and other intangible social costs, etc. Those who benefit form illegal labor are being unfairly subsidized by the rest of the economy.
In Kalifornia the amount of our perennial budget deficit is just about equal to what studies show is the net cost of illegals.
Yet these babbling buffoons, morons such as Lenny, keep incessantly babbling their programmed talking points.

I think between us and several other regular posters on RV we could solve all of our Country’s problems.
I don’t even want to get into the discussion about illegal aliens. They are a BLIGHT on this country. I live in Phoenix, and you can’t tell me that they do work Americans won’t do. They just do them for less than an American can work for. If they do jobs Americans won’t do, why does In and Out Burger have completely American crews? Their menu is a lot smaller than McDonald’s, and their food is a lot more work to prepare than dumping a bunch of frozen fries into a deep fryer and squirting a supposed milk shake from a soft serve machine. What’s the difference? They start their crew at $9.00 an hour. While a McDonald’s down the street is half empty, In and Out is packed with a line out the door. Why? Because you get your order done properly and you don’t have to order it in Spanish. The same can not be said for the McDonald’s or Burger Kings here in Arizona. At least not the ones that were open before January first of this year. As of January 1st, any company caught hiring an illegal alien without verifying their work status through E-Verify, can lose their business license. Of course the fast food and construction companies are fighting to have the law repealed DESPITE the citizens voting for every proposal to punish illegal aliens by a marin of 3 to 1.
As far as I’m concerned, anyone hiring someone that broke into the country is selfish and cheap. They only care about their own ass. I could make a fortune hiring illegals to do light construction and so forth; but I won’t. I care about the fabric, the culture and integrity of America, and will not sell out. I have seen these fat, cheap bastards picking the illegals up and in fact approached them head on at our local Home Depot. They always have the same bull—- excuse. “I’m just doing this so I can move a few things, or I need just an hour or so of help”. I told this one guy that he is part of the problem. All he could say was “get out of my face”. I told him to “go to hell”. We all need to speak up when ever the subject of illegal immigration comes up and challange this idiots until the get the point.
