“On Obama’s best day he can’t hold a candle to {Clarence} Thomas’s intelligence.”

Obama almost says Clarence Thomas didn’t have enough experience to serve

I missed the Saddleback Forum that was held last night.  Based on what I am reading though, it appears that Obama had his ass handed to him by McCain.

Michelle noted

Obama on abortion: It’s “above his pay grade.” What the:

Obama on which Supreme Court justice he wouldn’t have nominated: Clarence Thomas.

Allah’s got the near-gaffetastic video of Obama’s Thomas remarks. Mark Levin: “On Obama’s best day he can’t hold a candle to Thomas’s intelligence.”

P.J. notes

First we had NBC’s Andrea Mitchell floating the idea that perhaps John McCain did so well at last night’s faith-based forum at the Saddleback Church because he “cheated.” Not to be outdone in providing cover for Barack Obama’s poor performance, we now have Ryan Corsaro, an assignment editor for the National Desk at CBS News in New York, accusing McCain of not following instructions. Corsaro’s liberal bias oozed out in the very title of his CBS News blog entry: “Despite Request, McCain Resorted to Stock Answers at Faith Forum.” And in whose opinion did McCain resort to “stock answers?” Why in the very liberal opinion of one Ryan Corsaro who did little to hide his disdain for McCain while providing cover for Obama’s evasive answers.

And on this morning’s “Meet the Press,” Andrea Mitchell wasted no time floating the Obama campaign’s “private” concern

Leftwing Blogosphere Disappointed in Obama Saddleback Forum Performance

Perhaps the best measure of Obama’s performance can be seen among a group that normally includes his strongest supporters, the leftwing blogosphere. Despite some brave attempts by some in that arena to put a happy face on Obama’s appearance at Pastor Rick Warren’s forum, even they were forced to express disappointment as you can see in both the Democratic Underground and the Daily Kos. The very title of the DU thread, “I won’t win cool points for this, but McCain is doing excellent so far, better than Obama,” expresses something less than a vote of confidence for Obama. Here are a few examples of just how disappointed the DUers were in Obama last night:

I honestly can’t remember hardly any of Senator Obama’s answers to the questions that were asked, while McCain has had at least SOME memorable answers.

I think it was a mistake for Senator Obama to do this forum.

I’ve been shocked at how well McCain has done compared to what I was expecting. That very well could be it.

I don’t know why Obama went there - he comes across as a poor second to our “McZero the hero”.

Meanwhile, the Kossacks tried not too convincingly to believe that McCain didn’t really win as you can see from this thread title, “Why McCain’s ‘win’ wasn’t really a win at the FBF.” The author of the thread might be trying to convince the other Kossacks that McCain didn’t win but many others weren’t buying it as you can see:

McCain beat our a** tonight.

We have been here before. You don’t bring Karate to a gun fight. You bring an Uzzi. McCain brought an Uzzi. Obama brought a pocket knife and got ambushed. It’s time to stop this crap.

His answer “above my pay grade” will be in an ad tomorrow. He appeared to give non answers to me. And he must have said uh and um a hundred times!

OBAMA GOT CREAMED…NO OTHER WAY TO LOOK at it.

Andrea Mitchell has been eating too many persimmons, her mouth is very drawn up plus her nose is so stuck up in the air, she would drown if it rained. What a pathetic bunch on News media people on Meet the Press. All are lousy liberals. What a bitter bunch of fools. I’m surprised they can even stand one another long enough to do the so called news!! Their panties are really in a wad now and full of it. This is too funny! Either way you slice the pie, McCain out did Obama five million to one. COOL!

This is really neither here nor there. I’ve never thought much of Clarence Thomas after his trial on sexual harassment with his Secretary Anita Hill. For Obama though it was like the pot calling the kettle black with Thomas to coin a phrase, or let’s call a spade a spade. YA DA YA DA!

On Obama’s best day he can’t hold a candle to John MCCAIN.:)>-:d

LOL, Carolyne…did you just call Sen. Obama and Justice Thomas a “spade”?!

It’s true though that Obama is a child compared to Clarence Thomas, one of the better Justices.

Clarence Thomas and Obama are just on opposite ends of the Bell Curve. If Obama and his followers were any lower on the curve, they would be plant life.
