John McCain talked constantly to the press, giving analysis steeped in his personal experience with Georgia and Russia and explaining the stakes involved for the US and the West, as well as how to address the sudden example of Russian imperialism. Barack Obama issued contradictory statements and refused to take questions while secluding himself in Hawaii.
Just this past week, we got a glimpse of how both candidates would handle a major international crisis
