As far as the whole anti-Obama/racist angle, I gotta admit that I know more people than I want to who have flat out told me that they won’t vote for Sen.Obama because he’s a …er.

If I recall correctly, a lot of idiot women voted FOR Clinton on the sole grounds that they thought he was hot. How is that any less ridiculous a reason to vote for or against a candidate than skin color? People are always going to have prejudices whether we like it or not.
(Ladies, don’t hate me for pointing out the truth. I am embarrassed for my gender over the Clinton nonsense.)
Robert, you are absolutely correct. Matthews IS a douchebag. Interesting that he thinks it’s entirely appropriate to mention that just the mere thought of Obama as president gives him wood. Can you imagine the fallout if Limbaugh or another prominent conservative pundit said something similar about McCain? Crikey.

The same can be said for the dumbasses, women and men, who were planning to vote for Hillzilla on the idiotic basis of “it’s time for a woman to be President” and/or are planning to vote for Obama because “it’s time for a black President”. Props to the founding fathers for the forethought and brilliance of the Electoral College. I shudder at the thought of an election based on popular vote.
On the gender issue, I have seen a few comments from males referencing a female candidates hotness, but I’m not sure that is a primary factor in their choice of candidate. I think it comes into play AFTER the choice has already been made. At least, I hope so.

I chalk the hotness comments up to a “guy thing”. They think it and then they say it, but at the end of the day, unless they actually have a shot at doing the gal, their reasoning skills take back over.

Chris Matthews wants to do Obama, and he can stick it where the sun doesn’t shine! OK call me a racist, from Mathews that is a compliment. I wouldn’t walk across the street to spit in his face. Chris Mathews is NOT worth the time and energy. I had rather be home loving on my dog. now she is worth something. I think this gives the BIG PICTURE, IMO and has zero to do with race! Mathews is a sick puss filled White Head, that needs to be lanced.
