“Mission Accomplishment”

By: Pam On: Aug/28/08 -

Obama’s champions just seem to have a hard time, for some reason, coming up with Obama accomplishments to brag about.

I don’t know about you, but I have seen umpteen interviews, and the archives back me up, in which Democrats are hard pressed to give examples of an actual accomplishment that Obama can claim.

As an added bonus, take a look at this new web ad that Ed posted.  This ad nails every fear the voter has about electing Obama.    The Democrats point out why Obama is not ready to lead!

The money quote:

You know, I am a believer in : in knowing what you’re doing when you apply for a job. Uh, and I think that : if I were seriously to consider running on a national ticket, I would essentially have to start now, before having served a day in the Senate. Now there may be some people who are comfortable doing that, but I am not one of those people. ” Barack Obama, 2004

As Ed points out:

Presidential candidates get lots of criticism about policy stances during primaries that can be replayed as negative ads by their opponents.  This, however, is different.  It underscores Obama’s unreadiness, his unqualified status to assume the highest office in the country ” and Obama himself makes that case.

Here is a press release that will be used over and over and over again:

RE: Talk v. Action
Date: February 27, 2007

Barack Obama has presented himself as a unique political figure who says
what he means and does what he says.

Last night, we saw a glimpse of the real Barack Obama - the Barack Obama
who became chair of a national security subcommittee, put it on his
resume, but did not hold a single oversight hearing because he was too
busy running for President; the Barack Obama who spends his time talking
about change you can believe in instead of change you actually can count
on.

Given the opportunity to take the reins of leadership and shape two
critical areas of U.S. foreign policy ” Afghanistan and our alliances
in Europe ” Senator Obama has done next to nothing.

As chairman of a key Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee, Senator
Obama had an opportunity to assert his leadership and set an agenda for
America to help address the war in Afghanistan and strengthen some of
our most important alliances.

But by his own admission, he was too busy running for President to
conduct a single substantive hearing of the committee he chairs. So he
would rather talk about what he would do rather than do it through the
responsibility he had.

Hillary Clinton doesn’t just WANT the job of President. She wants TO DO
the job or President.

How can we tell what Barack Obama would be like as president if he did
not carry out his responsibility here?

Here’s the main reason to vote for Obama… A Republican has been in office for seven years and we’ve done nothing more then marked time. I see no promise that McCain can offer any more the Bush has in the past, although I will be watching for something/anything to show me otherwise.
BTW, very cool updates to the site.

Very substantial progress has been made in Iraq. I heard today that Mookie and his gang of Mahdi fighters are finished. That was the biggest part of the so-called Iraqi Civil War that actually never happened. Similarly with Al Qaeda. Once heralding Iraq as their main battlefront of their war against the U.S., they are about done too. The only thing they can muster is a now and then cowardly suicide bomber attack on soft targets. Did you see the story about the woman they drugged and sent to blow herself up? That is a metaphor for the extent of their capability. The Democrites over the last seven years declared we were defeated and wanted to run. Good thing we didn’t do what they wanted to do.

Now we could have made much progress in the last seven years on a real Energy Policy. ANWRA oil could be freely flowing now. Limitless, cheap, non-polluting electricity could be coming from new Nuclear Power plants, helping our economy, putting more money in people’s pockets, and reducing the need for new coal-burning plants. But the Democrites obstructed all that.

No, if anything, the last seven years are filled with reasons NOT to vote Democrap.
